Hi dear all, may I know do you all have any recommendations for a good microphone? (plan to use it for Dragon Naturally speech recognition software and possibly also use it for voice recording on Kodak's Zi8 portable video recorder if I'm getting it)
Thank you & have a nice weekend! |

Did I search and found people recommending Audi-Technica's ATR35 which is value for money. Just wondering did anyone use it with Dragon Naturally? And how about using it with Webcams? Good? Thanks.

I recently purchased the Cyber Acoustics AC-85 headset, as I use Skype a lot, and host a lot of webinars, and people were telling me I sounds tinny on my $20 head set i was using. This one I am very happy with and I am told sounds great. I paid about %60 buck for it, and i guess its true, you get what you pay for.

Here's the mic I've been using - it's not a headset, but it's really nice (and affordable)

I've had really good results with the Samson C01U with the podcasting pack and an add-on pop filter. I think the whole set up was around $100?

Hi,
I use the Logitech Premium Notebook Headset and it works great with DNS! It's available on Amazon and not too expensive either. Donna |

Wow you guys & gals are awesome! Thanks for sharing! Really like this forum & community. I would not have the chance to know about this forum until I met P.Parks recently when he came to town & he's the man who told me about this forum.
If there are other mics worth exploring do keep the comments coming in, guess there are others shopping around for a good mic too. Cheers! |

Hey Warriors,
I've got a question for you dudes and dudettes out there.. I will be recording some videos for my website soon, but when I first did a trial, the sound doesnt seem that good. Is there any particular settings for audio recording on Camtasia? Whenever I watch videos by those big-shots,like Frank Kern, Anik Singal etc, I can't help but wonder how did they manage to record their voices so clearly without any echoes and stuff like that Any kind soul out there care to give me advice on how to achieve that kind of clarity? I am using a USB mike... similar to those lapel mikes Regards Bryan |

So if you want a good mic, apparently now is a great time to snag one! edit - it's a USB model, so maybe not a good choice if you plan to have a podcast or something that requires a mixing board and more than one mic - but for solo use I've seen it in action and the audio quality is really very nice. | |

If you want to go pro get an SM58
I'm a musician always in the studio (Don't judge me, lol) and the best mic for picking up all the different frequency's of voice (Tone) is the Sure SM58 but you need a 1/4" input to use it. This is kinda a pro option but hope it helps someone |

Almost any Logitech mic will do the trick for ya.
Check out any reviews on logitech products and see for yourself. Ummm, not exactly cheap though. |
