Help with Traffic Building and Email Lists

As a newbie to affiliate marketing, I am wondering the best, most cost effective (or even free), and time effective ways you experienced folks have found to:

1. Generate Free Traffic
2. Build an email list
3. Convert traffic to sales

I realize, many of the "free" or low cost methods of traffic generation are not the most time efficient. I am deferring to you, the experts to find the best way to utilize what is out there for little to no money in order to build my income quickly. Please advise!

Well there are several ways that you can go about this but I will give you some tips on what I can.

1. article marketing, classified ad posting, traffic exchanges, blog commenting, using sidewiki on google toolbar, forum posting for your niche, video marketing if you have a web cam or a video cam that you can import into windows movie maker or imovie. The list goes on and on.

2. Of course sign up with an autoresponder and set one up, then start posting relevant ads in CL with an eye catching title, and ad copy then the link at the bottom. I would suggest also getting some PLR ebooks or software you can give away.

3. Am not sure of because I am stuck at this point as well.

Great tips there but the only thing you need to do is to try one technique above at the time. When you perfected it, add one. And continue until you have a lot visitors. Also the PLR ebooks it is good to give away and make sure it is related to the real product you want to sales.

Thanks for the advice. I know there is plenty of good content out there to be had. What I guess I am asking is, aside from setting up a website with said content, how do I start driving free traffic to it? Would you say the best way is SEO, or do you have any other methods that are FREE?

Article Submission, social bookmarking, forum posting and blog commenting are the most effective ways (at least for me) to build traffic.

If you want 'free' you have to trade in with your time. Spend some times every day in forums and use your signature links to get some free traffic and you can build up your credibility at the same time!

You can also give out some free ebooks/reports to build your list by using a opt-in method.

I am not adverse to spending the time to get the traffic as long as I can generate it for free. Thanks for the advice. Got any good advice on finding quality "free" content to give away?

That`s true, you have to assure the quality of your articles content , so you can attract visitors, also you can use back links as a good way to generate traffic , review those 2 links

Start with $600

1. Spend about $300 of that on the top Co-Reg system for 3mths service; that's a service that builds your list for you. ($300 - listopt.com)

2. Go to Geutenburg(sp?) and find Public Domain content on the specific niche you're targeting. (Free)

3. Break that content up into a series where you have at least 3mths worth of content to fill email messages that are sent out once a week to your list. (Free)

4. Get a Google gMail account and learn how to utilize their POP feature; there's a method to this madness.... stay with me, here. (Free)

5. Purchase "FollowUpExpert" and set it up to utilize gMail's POP server to send email. ($49)

6. Download xMailWrite as the tool to compose my autoresponder messages from the content I acquired above. (Free)

7. Go to ClickBank and do the research and find about 20~30 quality products that match my targeted niche (with good gravity that pay a minimum of 50% commission and priced no lower than $20ea. and no more than $100ea.) to utilize as paid sponsor ads in my 3mth email series. (Free)

8. Put all the puzzle pieces together and start mailing.

9. Wash, Rinse & Repeat; as statistically (doing the above with "quality" in mind) by the 3rd month you should have made at least enough to pay for another month of listop. If not, you've only spent $350 so you still have operation capital to work with from your original $600

10. Join the Warrior forum and read, read, read...

The 2 things that I found gave me the best results that were free are Video's and Articles. Submitting them to multiple sites is a must unless you are going after Google rankings.

Also they need to be a good value piece. If you do not put real value into your marketing, any type, you are done for. Articles and video's have converted well for me and brought good amounts of traffic to my sites.

You can use some Search Engine Optimization techniques in driving traffics or promoting your site. Some of the easy ways promoting and driving traffics to your site are blog commenting and forum posting.

To generate free traffic : Market your articles/blog posts with submission services(ezine articles,goarticles,articlesdashboard, etc)

To build an email list: Create a pitch page that offers something for free and have them opt-in to obtain it.

To convert traffic to sales: Make your articles highly relevant when syndicating them and lead them to relevant products.

Those are just my main three tactics from what you've asked for. Keep in mind that there are tons of different ways to convert traffic to sales,build an email list and generate free traffic!
