Default How Much This Site Cost?

Hey guys.

I saw a single website that's making about $2,000 per month from Adsense and E-book. About $1,800 from adsense.

This has not been updated for 4 years and making that money consistently for more than 2 years now.

The million dollar question is, How much is a reasonable price to purchase it from the owner?

Yes, he's selling it.

Thanks a lot!

If it's an evergreen topic, I'm going for 18-24 months revenue. This is a bit longer than usual (the usual is anything from 8 to 14 month's revenue), although if it's true that no work has been done on it in 4 years, chances are high that it'll still be making good money in 2 year's time, hence the price.

So yeah, I go for $36k to $48k since this doesn't sound like a standard site that needs x amount of work per day/week (etc).

That all being said..

I've seen evergreen sites/parked domains which have been sold for up to 40 month's revenue (if they have consistent earnings and will stay that way), so my 18-24 months estimate could be inaccurate.

It's hard to answer this question exactly since I guess you could pay anything from 8 to 40 month's revenue, depending on a range of factors.

Offer way less than what you think it's worth. Ask yourself - if you had a site that was making $2k without any effort would you sell it?

I've purchased over 20 sites so far - none of them continue to make the promised revenue. My guess is that this site made $2k/mo at one point in time and has been going downhill since.

You're being shown the silver lining behind the cloud that is to become your site ownership. Believe none of it

I would check out Sitepoint for similar websites that are on sale or have sold.

Actually, I've seen his actual adsense account in the last 24 months. Yes, I personally logged to his account with his permission of course.

There's no doubt with the revenue. And numbers. It' ranking 2nd and 1st in main keywords. Also, listed in DMOZ and even yahoo and mahalo.

The only question is what's the price point that's fair enough for both parties.

The TOPIC is ever green as well.

Sit down with him/her and start negotiating. Start of at a months revenue and if needed strike a compromise in between 1-9 months in revenue. Make sure though that they are willing to transfer everything over to you including the adsense account, domain name, etc.

If I were selling that site I wouldn't take less than 30-36x monthly revenue with that much proof, rankings, and listings.

If I were buying, I'd see if I could pick it up for 18x monthly revenue or less. If he really needs to sell, you might be able to practically steal it.

Profitable Website For Sale- Stop struggling to find a profitable niche. I've already done the hard part.

Do you know anyone who can assist in buying and selling to make sure that both parties will get what they're suppose to get?

Like a deal maker.

Thanks!

Pay him what he makes for 2 years.....so $48,000.00 he knows what he has at $2000.00 a month I wouldn't sell it.
