Hi all,
As internet marketeers we can spend long days glued to the computer barely surfacing for air. Some of us don't pay attention to what we are eating and end up eating the wrong thing because it is easy. And we often don't get the exercise we need. Most of us don't want to start training for a triathlon but we want to look good and be healthy. We need easy ways to stay in shape and still get our business done. So I thought it might be a good idea to share tips on how to lose weight, fit in more exercise and just be healthier if you work on the computer a lot. I thought I would start with two ideas; The first is to eat breakfast before you get on the computer. It is so easy to get on the computer just to check something and hours later realize you haven't eaten and then start stuffing your face because you are to hungry to make good choices. So eat breakfast and make it a protein based breakfast. If you eat a good breakfast it sets you up to eat right the rest of the day. If you don't eat breakfast you may find yourself shoveling whatever in your mouth later in the day. Protein helps with satiation so it will stay with you longer and will help keep you from eating junk later. Some quick ideas would be a protein shake, hard boiled eggs, yogurt with high fiber/protein cereal, cottage cheese with cashews. Enjoy a side of fruit. If you are on the computer a lot you may not be getting in the activity your body needs. One easy way to fit in exercise is to use a mini exercise bike. Pick one that you can slide under your desk. Through out the day peddle away. I use a little timer with mine. I set the time for the amount I want to peddle each day. So let's say I pick 40 minutes. I set the timer for 40 and as I surf the net, check my mail etc. I peddle away. It is pretty mindless and there is no need to be Lance Armstrong. Moderate peddling is great. Get a timer with a pause button. If you get interrupted you can pause and resume later on. A mini exercise bike is cheap, convenient, and mindless. An alternative would be a mini stair stepper. Anyone else have easy weight loss and fitness ideas? |

Breakfast: Oatmeal (the real stuff not instant), and sometimes I add a little honey and cinnamon to it. If I'm not eating oatmeal it's a protein bar or egg beaters. Skim milk
Lunch: Salmon or cod fish Dinner: Boneless skinless chicken breast or cod fish Sides for lunch/dinner: Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes, green beans, salad with ff dressing Snacks: Protein bars, Bananas, almonds, pistachios Throughout the day: Lots of water |

Get some fresh air during the day to get oxygen to the brain. If you can't spare the time to go for a walk, take mini-breaks, stand outside and do some breathing exercises. You can also do some stretching exercises while you're at it.
Also exercise your eyes by looking away from the computer into the distance. It can be looking out the window or objects as far away from you as possible. Mary |

Turn off you research tools, you can then
get all the exercise you need by jumping to conclusions ![]() Seriously thought, you have to make time too look after your body. If you hate the idea of wasting time (it really isn't a waste), get some audio books on your MP3 player, learn while you walk or whatever. I walk to the shops three times a week. Not only do I get a good workout, but I can save money on my shopping by grabbing bargains. HTH Glenn |

I guess I was blessed with a fast metabolism I eat whatever I want when I want... (I eat a ton right before bed) and I dont gain weight...
I sit on the computer all day... And im maybe 2-3 lbs overweight and have been for about 3 years now. I know I can drop those 3 lbs in about 2 weeks with excersize as well.. because I have several times.. |

Going to gym always works. You'll get out of house, meet people and keep fit.
