My RAP Script VS DLguard Dilemma

Hey all,

If possible could I ask for your advice on the best solution for this...

I am looking to set up a membership site, however I will be having affiliates promoting for me, and by what I can ascertain - DLguard doesnt automatically do any rebilling and pay affiliate for you like RAP plus does.

However on the other hand, RAP does offer this capability, but doesn't automatically add members to an aweber list (I want to build a proven buyers list).

Is there a solution to my dilemma!?

Just to clarify, DLGuard does actually do recurring billing!

You can use DLGuard with a system like Clickbank or PayDotCom for affiliate management.

Pretty soon I'll be releasing DLGuard Pro, which will have a built in affiliate system - a fully blown one, like you'd get if you purchased a standalone affiliate system. It won't be just an email address replacement system.

But no, I don't yet have a date for it's release, but I can say it's coming along nicely!

Thanks for the answers, looks like Clickbank + DLguard may be the key...

Also how does the member usernames/passwords work? would you have to manually plug it in when they purchase, or are they automatically set up a username and password for the site?

Simon,

RAP will do what you are asking about adding members/buyers to an aweber list. The best combo is to go with RAP and the membership add on (comes with the PayPal add on for recurring billing.

Works like a dream.

If your looking for upfront commissions, meaning they are paid at time of sale and you don't have to worry about paying them out later, then the best option for that is currently RAP hands down.

There are other options being developed but not ready yet so I would suggest seriously looking at RAP.

Hi Simon,

Yes, DLGuard will automatically create the membership accounts for you (as well as block access for refunds/chargebacks, and block access after time runs out for cancelled memberships (ie. they're allowed to finish the time they've already paid for!)).

It's all automatic!

And later your members can change their password if they wish!
