OPINION POLL: What are affiliate marketers REALLY interested in promoting?

What is your "marketing mindset"? Do you look for good unique/niche information products to market, that may be flying under the radar and haven't been promoted to death offering you first-mover advantage?

OR

Do you look to promote the same "popular products" that everyone else is marketing that already have a proven conversion rate?

I started out going for the popular stuff and didn't make a dime. Since I've been going for the low hanging fruit, I'm actually making sales. A Lot Of sales, NO, but for the first time there's a light at the end of the tunnel...
