I had no luck with USFree Ads. Having a paid subscription didn't do any good either. I didn't get my money's worth. My ads did get some views, but I got a much better response with article marketing.

Depending on how you use it you can build backlinks to it and rank on the front page for it. I was able to do this with other less classified sites.

Mock my words, I will be a millionaire someday or die trying. I'll do it by doing what others don't won't or can't.

Agreed. There is at least 1 usfreeads posting on the first 3 pages (many on the first page) for pretty much every keyword that I target.

Blatant self-promotion to be inserted.

You have the option of putting up your ad in html (put a link in) . It is PR4 ranked site so may be helpful.

I get pretty good results with the paid version. I use my keyword phrase in the title, and as anchor text links in the ad and I use the H1 tag for the ad title in the body ... I do pretty well and the ads renew every 30 days and stay listed.

I've tried USFreeAds a few times as a premium user and it isn't worth the few bucks that it costs, I've had very little response and absolutely no money from it. Wouldn't bother with it....

They nofollow the link and you get very little traffic. I guess they join the nofollow band wagon. Well, craigslist is free and brings me a lot of traffic.

Hi Michelle,

I think I am reading your comment to mean that you did not get a lot of people using US Free Ads to view your ad at the site?

With US Free Ads there are zillions of ads with new ones pushing yours down all the time so getting lots of ad views directly from the site is not likely. Yes you can get some but rarely a ton.

So the goal with US Free ads then is to target low competition keywords and get them ranked in Google where then you will get traffic etc.

That said, I tried it, had a few things rank and then quickly disappear.

I think the competition today is much greater than when Travis wrote his Bum Marketing report and talked about Googles love for US Free Ads.
Today we have marketers using high authority sites going after the little words also and backlinking to them so the competition is stiff.

I talked to an expert who has written several ebooks on Article Marketing and he also said that US Free Ads was not very effective anymore.

Conceptually, it is cheap hosting, as with the premium service you can run tons of ads that are complete web pages with customized html.

But after about 6 months of testing and dozens of ads, I pulled the plug because there were little, if any, conversions, despite getting decent traffic.

Compared to running the same advertising material on my own websites, the service had very poor results.

I pay the $10 monthly usfreeads premium, and I simply use it for seo and backlinking purposes.

I use software that automated all this for me, and thus I can have one article posted to 20 article directories (and spun) and my usfreeads account, in 5 minutes.

I have tried usfreeads. I didn't' get any results. I got views, but no clicks. The thing with classified ads, is that you have to constantly post new ads everyday.

You will probably have the best luck with the paid version.

it is all about how you use it, but if you use it to sell products at discount, it is an a+ method actually!

as someone mentioned, it is all about how to use it,if you get some backlinks to it, you can rank, if you use it for physical products you can rank, and using the discount, sale, promo, works great on USFreeads.

I had a thread recently on one way to use usfreeads, It might help

Broke or Newbie? Here is a Simple Affiliate Strategy You Can Use!

Oh and I will agree that you do need the paid version, it is better!

usfreeads is just that, place to post ads, and those keywords are buyer keywords, and with just little link juice, you can be on the first page of google, sometimes without it, but like I said, it depends how you use it!

I had at one time perhaps one of the most detailed sites for
free traffic generation because I have other promoted traffic
methods to frustrated marketers . . .this included
using so called free traffic the right way - helping
marketers realize that there are much better ways to
market outside of free methods that can work well for them.

This at one time included US Free ads - the thing
to remember about "free" traffic generation is that
it is mostly smoke and mirrors - a way to get tons
of spam email to people who are active opportunity seekers.

Since most people who claim they are IMers
(but haven't found this wonderful site where real IMers are)
are clueless that free traffic just doesn't work the problem with
free traffic is this: these people are broke or basically cheapskates.

- you need to promote products and services to a proven list of
buyers or the hundreds of opt ins to freebie sites are
basically a list of cheapskates and hobbyists.

Who really wants to spend thousands of hours
on "free" sites clicking and posting
(where no real person actually sees
your ads anyhow)

I have pdf that talks about this
it is a little outdated but it is good reading

and isn't any kind of sales pitch just
stuff to help you if you want to use
free sites - I hope it helps
it is 100% free and no opt in -
Free ads are a lie

I am kind of wondering, what strategy did you all use to get usfreeads traffic? Did you do your keyword research? Did you optimize for keywords on page and off page, did you get Low competition keywords only?

Cause if you did, there is no way it work. In my opinion, usfreeads is free traffic, for 6.99/month you can get 100's of extra visitors, so why not use it?

ezine articles are free, and you will have worse results if you do not use the keywords, optimization, on your pages. And usfreeads are easier to do and auto indexed in 48 hours!
