This is a question to anyone who may have tried this in the past. It's been said time and time again that in order to get traffic using SEO that you need fresh content for your site as well as for articles pointing back to your site for link juice. I recently read something where the "Guru" mentioned that duplicate content was nonsense. My question is if one were to build a site and based on keywords that the site will be focused on, simply add duplicate content that you find on the net. Then purchase plr articles also surrounding the same keywords. Then launch a massive campaign adding more articles/videos to the site each day and continue to post articles to the different article directories for back links. Would this work to get rankings? Has anyone every tried this with absolutely zero original content and made and significant income? Google seems to really favor websites that provide a ton of great information to people searching the web. If there is a site that has gathered a ton of information about a particular niche or product and has a ton of articles pointing back to it from different directories, even though none of the content is original. Wouldn't google still consider this an authority site because all of the information has been gathered together, thereby creating great content for the reader? Anyone have an opinion on this? |

I know people who grab PLR products, repurpose them (by that I mean spinning the article) and post hundreds of them on a single blog -- drip fed over time. It works for for them. That's not 100% duplicate content though, so... SMS recently had a report on this that you should definitely take a look at. |

I heard of people who have used 100% PLR Content and then got their Adsense Account Banned. One particular Warrior here comes to mind. To me, not worth it. I will continue using fresh and unique stuff |

I feel original content is the best. I don't have much experience, but do you really want to filling up the internet with even more useless crap?

Of course you can, just depends on your model of making money online. Eg I know I can take a PLR article with original title "How to get rid of acne" then do a massive back link campaign for "get rid of acne" given time the site will rank high in Google. The most "relevent" result will appear right at the top. relevent = lots of web2.0 backlinks Michael |
