Hey guys. Currently working on my copywriting but now that ive been reading through others sales copy im starting to question my initial plan.

My product is in the dating/ wellness niche.
It contains a drip fed course that has course material as well as a fitness program.

I had it in mind that I would offer a two week trial (need credit card) then they trial through the introduction to the course which is a brief summary of all the things the actual course goes through. Then goes into reoccurring payments for 3 months.

But Ive noticed that most of the products in my niche don't offer trials. I guess I was going for a value based approach. Thinking my sales copy won't be enough.

But seeing some of the copy in this group ive started thinking otherwise. That maybe I should sell with no trial.

Is there a benefit to a trial?
Ive used trials for my online personal training but i had no sales copy, it was just chatting to people on a fb group.

Thinking my sales copy won't be enough.

Bingo Christian! That is the fear to feel, and let go. Shed that limiting belief and you can sell with no trial.

I used to think I needed a freebie to drive folks to my site. Then I realized I had giving away about 20,000 freebies during my 10 year blogging career; these freebies are called blog posts, guest posts and videos We give away valued freebies all the time. When you get clear on that, you will feel like you and your sales copy are enough and people will begin to sign up for your service.

Honestly; when I think of the last 50 things I bought offline and online I never once needed a freebie or free trial. If I want something, I buy it. Simple as that. But you need to be clear to align with folks who spend freely on what they want and improving your confidence and clarity in self and your copy is the starting point.

Yeah thats my new frame of mind. The only trials i use are ones to do with software. I give out at least 10 blog posts a week if free stuff so a trial shouldn't be needed

David DeAngelo did a 7 day free trial. Still does. Most folks don't "release their fears" before they buy something.

Double Your Dating scaled to 8 figures. I would test it. I've seen it work and not work in that space.

No way to know without testing but my gut tells me that if it's only 3 months recurring and out. it's better to use the 3 easy payments plan as seen on late night infomercials and offer a discount to those who pay the full amount up front.

If your potential competitors don't offer a free trial, why don't you offer one to give yourself an edge over them, and encourage customers to try your product first? Although boblev's suggestion of giving a discount for an upfront payment is a great idea!

If you can provide trial, you can get more leads. But you only do it if your operation is exceptional.

I'm not a big fan of free trials, I find it often attracts the wrong people and opens yourself up to abuse of the system.
