Is it safe to download an image from this site?

Hi. I need some help. I want to make a favicon for my website and I liked an image in this website.

The online royalty free clipart 20802 - vector clip art online, royalty free & public domain

It says "royalty free & pubic domain." What does this mean? Does this phrase mean that anybody can use these images for any purpose?

Basically, I was wondering if it was okay to download an image from this website and use it. Do you think it's safe - yes or no?

Yes. Its Royalty free. They are free to download and use. Unless they tell you to pay

Unless they stole the image in the 1st place. (Which a lot of sites do). I am not familiar with that site.

The 2nd site in my sig has 23,500 images that are free for personal use and if you use commercially, many of the artists just ask you donate to a charity whatever you feel is fair. It is not 'policed' and we don't go after anyone that steals for commercial use. (That isn't a license to just take what you want and use commercially, I am just making sure you understand that a charity payment amount is totally up to the discretion of the user and we have decided it is better to trust than police. Some are stolen, oh well.)

When I say some sites do steal, once someone downloaded all 23,500 images and opened a membership site for use of them. It happens all the time. Lots of people are totally mis-informed when it comes to copyright issues. Others just don't care.
