Default Tool For Finding Out If/Where A Page Is Indexed On Google?

Hey Warriors,

So, this may be obvious to some, but for some reason I can't seem to track this down. Anyways, I've looking for a tool that enables you to see if a website is indexed for a specific keyword and if it IS then what page is it located on.

For example, if we have a website called Example Web Page and that website has been indexed and currently sits on the 9th page of Google search results for the keyword "example website." Would there be a tool out there to render such information?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Each page, of every website, has it's own SERP ranking. Much of the SERP ranking is due to SEO of that page and backlinks. The total backlink count and PR also seem to add to it's rating.

If you want to be #1 or on page #1 then the search phrase MUST be optimized on that page - it must be:

  • In the title of the post
  • In the SEO Title of the post
  • In the SEO Description of the post
  • In the SEO keywords of the post
  • In the H1 Tag of the Post

I you haven't done the above, the odds of ranking high fall significantly. But each page competes on its own and should drive traffic to your main page. The WP Plug-in "All in one SEO Pack" makes the above a snap.

Here's what I use, it checks the first 2,000 positions:

Fast SERP Checker - Check SERP

Good luck,

Hi

There is also an addon for Firefox called Rank Checker, it checks Google, Yahoo & Bing and you can save a list of your sites to recheck and export the results.

Not very good. It doesn't check any of the geo specific country search engines like google.co.uk, .de, .fr etc.

Like I said the rank checker plugin by SEO book does all of this. You can set which specific SEs you want to check rank for. It checks and exports your results in CSV form which is excellent for traffic light analysis of your rankings.
