what is the best way to accumulate an email list quick,am starting out and would appreciate any heads up to get myself a nice email list as I am bringing out a few new products soon as a vendor,I have just opened an account with aweber as hostgator don't have the auto responder to do the job as far as I can make out anyway,but in saying that can anybody give me the right direction to go too...

Probably the fastest way is with PPC but it does cost money and if you're not careful you can lose a lot of money too.

Another way is to do a product launch. You say you have a few products coming out soon so this may be a good option. You can take a look at my product launch thread which may help:

Fastest way EVER... partner with established list owners.

Setup a free content squeeze that tracks to an affiliate system...privately offer a piece of the pie that you're busy cooking right now and some free content their members will love. Give them an extra helping of that pie if not all of it in exchange for the leads. Bake a second pie while you're at it, and put it on the back-end of the launch. You get bigger slices of that cuz you're JV's already ate big.

When all is said and done, everyone's fat and happy. You get massive list and sales all in one swoop.

There's many angles you can approach list building. A lot depends on your niche and your targeted audience. I personally started with PPC.

People like freebies especially videos which may convert better to opt-in than pdf reports. Advertise your freebie using PPC and if you can keep your customers for long then initial cost is not important. Think about lifetime value of a customer.

If you offer value people will keep buying from you and your initial acquisition cost will be irrelevant. I've heard about a marketer who threw tons of cash to build a list of 5000 asap, he did this very fast and after a couple promos he was on plus.

You can also use somebody elses list (rent a list for a single use) or offer your product as a complimentary bonus to somebody elses product.

Hostgator and aweber are the best start-up choice I know, although I stick to Getresponse.
