Default Write Guest Posts?

Hey Guys,

I wanted to get your opinion and advice on writing guest posts on other blogs. I'm really looking to write some and having a difficult time finding blogs that accept guest posts. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Mike,

I do this on occasion. I look for a blog in my niche with a reasonable page rank, and email the blog owner. I comment on their site, maybe mention what in particular I like - it lets them know I've read the blog a bit. I then offer a post, I suggest the topic based on what their site is about. I tell them my credentials and why I'm qualified to write a post.

So far my success rate is pretty good. Although the guest post is good for me for the backlink, when I contact the site owner, I'm very clear about why the guest post would be good for them and their readers. Offer a post topic that is useful to them, not just what you want to write about. It's all about them.

Hope this helps a bit.

Here's something I found through a Google search *gasp*:
52 Blogs that Accept Guest Posts | PiggyBankPie

It's a little old, but I'm sure many of the sites on the list are still accepting guest posts.

You could also try searching for "submit a guest post", or searching for that phrase plus your keyword phrase. I think there are a few other exact phrases that you can search for, but I can't remember them...sorry

Curtis
