Question for MS Word experts: Can I create MS Word document and have it load image dynamically from the web? Or load anything from the web? I want to have tracking on number of opens of document. In all my attempts MS Word embeds image inside the document and thats not what I want. Gleb |

I'm not aware of a way to do that. What does an image have to do with counting the number of times a document is opened? I'm not connecting those two things...

It's easy. When document is opened - image is loaded from the WEB. Server where image is hosted recording the image load. In fact any HTML rendering from inside of MS Word document would serve the same purpose. I am not an expert in Word yet I know 4 ways to embed link to external object. The problem is that each of these way opens ugly "confirm/deny" alert warning window. I don't want that. |

ok, I'm not an expert because I didn't know you could put an MS-DOS command inside a word doc! holy schmokes.... |
