Does anyone else do this? And does it work?

Bear with me while I try to verbalize this idea :0

At seoFool.com I write around 10 articles per week (blog posts) on SEO.

Some of them I also make into slide show type videos (or I'm
going to once I figure out how to add a couple extra hours to a
normal day).

I also send the articles out all bunched together once a week
to my email list as a newsletter in sort of a normal HTML newsletter
format.

Nothing new there....

Recently though, I had an idea that I just implemented and I was wondering
if anyone else does this....The idea is to bundle all the week's articles
together into a pdf file, but gloss it up and make it look sort of like a
magazine. Full color pages, a magazine looking cover, pictures, etc.

I'm calling it "seoFool Magazine"...you can take a look at what I'm
talking about here:

http://www.seofool.com/magazine/Issue2.pdf

The format is still a little crude, but I think you can get the idea.

Do you think this adds anything to the site? Is it something worth
pursuing?

My thinking is basically to dole out the content in as many different
formats as possible so that people have as many choices as possible.

Some people may like to read a blog post on the site or through their
RSS software. Some may like to watch the article as a video, and some
may like to get a batch of all the weeks articles in glossy PDF digest
form each week...plus a pdf file is something that people can pass around
if they find it useful and want to share it. It's almost like a decent sized ebook
really.

What do you think? It takes quite a few hours to put "seoFool Magazine"
together as one big pdf file.... so if its stupid I'd rather not waste my time.

I think it's also a good way to spread your content around without triggering
"duplicate content" flags at the search engines because the pdf file is
such a different format and because the articles are all listed together
as one file along with a "letter from the editor" and other inconsequential
type filler. Testing will show if I'm right about that though...

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Am I wasting my time?
Is this something site visitors could find useful?

I created a separate page on the site for "seoFool Magazine" and
it's only been up for a few days but people are clicking on it...it's too early
to get any real concrete data though...

Thoughts? Comments? Ideas? Does anyone else do this?

I've heard it can be a very good thing to do.

I've also heard of a media consultant who turns his blog into an annual Lulu book and sells his blog in the form of a book.
