What makes a WSO successful?

What factors cause you to buy a WSO? If you have sold a successful WSO, what do you think separated it from the flock?

I always search for posts by the seller and buy WSOs from people that are consistent and credible. Their posts on this forum and sometimes other forums or blogs demonstrate that they have actually done what they purport to teach. The memory of the internet is long and it's amazing the number of people that newbie questions one week and then release a related WSO or product as an expert.

I think honesty goes a long way in WSO's.. if you're selling to the IM crowd, who are savvy anyway and can spot sales hype when they see it, I think just being straight up about your product is the best thing you can do.

And over-deliver, don't provide good value for money but provide amazing value for money.

I look on my list of people I'd buy a WSO from.
That list is very short... if your name is on it, I buy.

Since I already have a "million dollar hard drive" (and, yes, I own the domain name too! LOL), I buy only those things that I actually think will fill in a gap in my knowledge, teach me something new, or show me a shortcut I don't already have. I've kind of been a sucker for quality PLR lately...

I am about to institute a rule that I can not buy ANYTHING from someone who has a video showing a convertible driving along a beach while they talk.
