Yea, focus on one thing only when starting out. Even just one method can be overwhelming too. If I could start over, I would have gone the article marketing route instead of PPC. I lost a ton of money with PPC. Article marketing will get you the knowledge of keywords and understanding their competition, so PPC will come naturally later on. | |

I would suggest focus on getting good at ONE marketing method and your first project should actually be a serious project that has a chance of success...in other words one marketing method in one niche. Most beginners at internet marketing spray their focus everywhere which makes it almost impossible for them to get good at anything. Master one thing then move on to the next. That gives you the best chance of making some real money. Kindest regards, Andrew Cavanagh |

I started with social marketing and article marketing, and later on when I felt comfortable with the knowledge that i gained with both of these forms of marketing then i moved on to PPC.

Start with a longer standing proven money making system that won't be leaving anytime soon such as list building using squeeze pages, article marketing, etc. Get your feet wet pomoting products as an affiliate then once you get more experience develop your own product and "plugin" your product to one of your money making systems that you've learned to like and use and go from there. To make money online you need a vehicle to present your information to the public . In example a website . This means you have to understand what makes this vehicle purr to a certain extent . The next implementation is getting people on track to view the information . Somewhere there needs to be someway to monetize said information . Concentrate on any one of these aspects and you get nowhere fast . They have to be learned together . Some days you may need to concentrate on content. The next traffic . Converting information to money always need to be tweaked and tested . Some days you need to concentrate on one aspect , other days will find you concentrating on all three at least . |

It is VERY easy to get sidetracked in this world because there are so many appealing opportunities. Everyone wants to make $10k in their first week and some people tell you that it is possible, which it could be, but try to stay away from these claims. Stick with one thing that seems legitimate enough to try out and then stick with it; you may fail a few times, but just keep at it. -Christian |

I can't agree more. I can't even begin to tell you how I would go between PPC, article marketing, viral marketing, banner advertising, email marketing, ezine marketing, video advertising and back to PPC again only to do the whole thing over again. It's better to focus and see one method through to completion until you get consistent results and have taken it as far as you can. Which one? Pick one and go with it. If you don't see results no matter how much time and input you've invested into it, move on, maybe it's not for you. I believe we're each good at different things, for me I was rubbish at PPC but article marketing I had more of a knack for. So pick one and see if it's your thing and keep at it until you achieve the results you want. |
