Is getting certified by the Better Internet Bureau worth it?

Hi Guys,

I qualified for the BIB and they want me to pay something like $45 to use their logo on my site. In your opinion, do you think this is worth the $45? The BIB says using one of these logos can increase sales but has anyone actually seen an increase in sales by using one of these logos? I got an email saying that I have 48 hours to pay or my file will be closed for 6 months before I can re-apply. I'm kinda iffy on the whole thing and was just curious what everyone else thinks.

Never heard of them but why do they have to have the payment in 48 hrs or youll have to wait 6 mos.
Sounds like a ripoff to me.
Thats an awful lot of pressure to put on someone to get a sale.
For $45.00 i could buy my own software and make all kinds of logos.

Uh... I think I'd rather spend the $45 on some Google clicks or something.

Now if it was the BBB then maybe, yeah, I might consider it.
