Does anyone make good money and get a lot of visitors by writing articles to there blog alone,without doing lenses,hubs or submiting articles to directories.

Is this possible in a popular niche?

It is possible, but you need to have excellent content and update your blog every day.Over time you will get organic traffic from the search engines.If you monetize with adsense, you can earn a lot of money from it.

I write to my blog three times a week in the make money online niche and my money from it (well the bulk) comes from people signing up to my mailing list and buying my oto. To get the results i have a exit pop up through to one of my most successful optins.

I also get a lot from putting special offers on my blog.

It is certainly possible and Tom is right, you need to update it with quality content.

You need to establish a user base that looks forward to your posts and this won't happen overnight. I doubt Yaro or Darren Rowse are spending time making lenses and hubs because they don't need to any longer, they already have their user base.

Lenses and hubs will only increase your rankings, not necessarily bring in a lot traffic. But concentrating on your blog and getting to know the other popular blogs and blog owners in your niche will get you better results. Guest posting and useful blog comments will get more targeted traffic.

"Build it and they will come" only works in the movies.

You have to promote your blog. If you aren't interested in attracting buyers (aka money) you can use social referral networking to bring in non-buyers (aka readers) or you can use SEO methods and/or PPC methods to bring in targeted buyers.

Yes, guest post in other blogs in a related niche. Guest posting is probably the best way I know of to "steal" another blog's audience without having the owner hate you for it.

Guest posting is basically writing content for other people's blogs.

You basically contact a popular blog in your niche and ask the owner if they will post an article you write especially for their blog. Obviously there will be a link somewhere for your own blog OR the owner will put a special mention at the start of the post for you.

So they get the unique content and you get free targeted traffic.

That is basically how it works.

P.S. - Some might charge you for doing it but if their site is popular it might well be worth the money.

It is definitely possible, with some hard work. You will need to update your blog frequently, and ensure you have very good content.

It's possible ONLY if you actually have something interesting to blog about. Blogging is not about farting posts out on a daily basis. If you want to run a successful blog, you need RECURRENT visitors, and unless you engage that audience with terrific content (meaning you're an expert in your blogging niche), you will not see them back.

So the first question should not be "is it possible?" but rather "do I have the knowledge/ability to engage my readership over and over again?".

This is definitely possible as long as the content is unique and the blog itself offers alot of value to the reader and is update on a constant basis. Here are couple of thoughts...

- Install a social bookmarking plugin that will make it easy for visitors to share your content. Something such as: WordPress › SexyBookmarks WordPress Plugins

- Capture your visitors information. Use an autoresponder form and offer the people visiting your blog an opportunity to receive updates, along with a free gift. Every time you send out an e-mail it is an opportunity to pull these people back to your site where they have the option of sharing more of your content.

- Build Links. This is very important if you are relying on the search engines to bring in the majority of traffic.

- Make videos. If you don't want to write hubs, lenses, or articles, leverage the power of YouTube and all the 479 million hits they receive each month. Even if it is just a series of short videos talking about todays post on your blog.

- Submit your blog/RSS feed to directories. Since you are a War Room member, I made a post about 90+ places to submit your blog/rss feed for free: http://www.warriorforum.com/war-room...feed-free.html Submitting your blog/feed will provide additional backlinks to your blog as well as get all your new posts indexed fast. (This only has to be done once) After each new post ping your blog.

Of course you can make money without distributing articles in different directories,
but it takes longer for high traffic results. More traffic - better earning.

Another tip, if you want to have more traffic and Google ranking on your wedsite or blog. Create your signiture within this forum and set up a link to your landing page.

Yes, but as the above people have said. It requires super quality content. I run a number of blogs ( a lot ) and not all of them are are going to be quality. I save quality for the one which is my passion ( And its not internet marketing related )
