This Can Save You Hours Per Month

Hi Guys,

Looking at the stats on my sites, it looks like about 30% of users are viewing the web through the Firefox browser. This seemed like a lot to me, so it got me thinking.

I tried it out a while ago but felt that on balance, Internet Explorer was better.

So now I tried Firefox out again a few days ago an Wow! knocks spots off IE both in terms of usability and speed.

I would urge anyone to give it a go as it could potentially save you a lot of time and stress in your day to day online activities.

Judging by the beta version of IE 8, I won't be returning to Microsoft any time soon.

I'm interested. Could you expand on how Firefox did this for you, compared with Explorer?

      Cheers,

Used IE quite happily for years now but when FF3 came out I thought I would give it a go.

Haven't looked back since, FF is so much faster compared to IE and the amount of add ons make it even better

      Yea!

I forgot about the addons .. I'm using now them to backup my login info for websites (and there are so many), I have one to check the page rank for each page, I have the godaddy search box(to quickly search for a domain when it comes thru my head)

... and the list can continue

I wish somebody had told me about the firefox a lot sooner. The add-ons alone make it ten times better than IE.

tallestman:Google Chrome is just another way for Google to gather more data on your surfing habits. Why else would they make a web browser? I'm sure it will do well but it's like having the marketing department from HBO living in your home with you while you watch TV. Creepy.

I have been using Firefox for years. I love it! You cant go wrong with the add-on's either.

I'm a web developer and many times when testing stuff I forgot about IE and work only on firefox.

Then send the app to my client.

Sometimes I get replies telling me it isn't working, I test again and it works .. then, all of a sudden, I remember: this guy must be using IE. And when I check, indeed, IE has a lot of problems with a lot of stuff.

So, from my point of view, if you make a web app to work on IE, it will work on any browser out there
