$1 membership site trail and backend offer

I am setting up a new membership site, i am thinking of using a $1 trail for 3 days.

How should i offer the back end offer?

The back end offer is going to be an upgrade to gold membership. Should i offer it as soon as they sign up as a back end offer or after the 3 day trail?

Or should i offer two levels of membership on the sales page ?

keep the $1 trial on the front end and then pitch the backend everywhere you can.

$1 trial for 3 days I would make it 7 at least a week just my input on that one but then again it depends on what your product is. 3 days is pretty quick and might turn people off.

Otherwise One Time Offer, Offer a bonus, Show about a 50% discount, Show the price it will be if they do not take the offer.

This is a video membership site. the back end offer will be to offer resell rights to the videos and offer download links.

I do not want to give this away for $1 ???

could i say that they can not download anything till after the trail ?

        I worked with memberspeed.

It could be set up so you could easily do a dollar trial that started automatically charging after 3 days or what ever. You could set up different membership levels - so silver was a monthly, and gold was a one time payment.

Things can be set on a drip/time release, so some videos could be seen, and then if a user wanted to download a video or see the whole video, but perhaps joined on the free membership here is what happened.

The user would try to download with the link, and it would direct them to a page instantly where it said "you will need to upgrade to the next level in order to download this material." They were then directed to pay or go back. They could pay, get an automatic upgraded status, and could then download.

You could set up a free trial that does this - and only show a portion of some of the videos.
