If you hold a webinar, you really should record it. I've seen those that force people to watch live with no other option. "I'm not going to record it, so be there or lose out" Not everyone can be there at that time. Life is busy, some have kids and commitments, some have jobs, some have conflicts. Then too you have the entire rest of the world in different time zones some of which would need to be up at 3 Am to attend. |

So true. Being based in the UK, I find the webinars out of sync for my schedule and generally watch the recorded version (if they send an email link later) when I have the time.

Not to record is a pure waste of your own time and a waste of a valuable resource which can be used in many ways, ex: as promo material or content for the site. It's not really fair to those who had trouble to attend, also you can not sometime rely on your notes from webinar and need to see slides to work thing out. |

Then there was one time that something happened and I lost my internet connection and could not get back in... Prime example, today there is a webinar being held at 3PM EST but I will be going to pick up my son from school and may not make it back in time so I stand a good change of missing it. Then there are those that start like 10-11PM my time which by then I am asleep due to needing to wake up early. Would be nice is you could provide us with a copy of the webinar... | |

Well here is a new twist. I get email from a wellknown IM'er about his webinar starting at 8 EST and its 8:35Pm EST and he has not shown up yet. Guess my time is not as valuable as his....

I started this thread because I got an email about a webinar that I could not attend because of the time. They stated "No recording will be available so don't miss it" or words similar. This was a membership site too. It was an "extra bonus" so I guess I didn't pay for it, but others got it because they had the time. It just didn't seem to make sense to me.

| I had that happen once. Then I looked more closely at the email, and saw that it was the following week. I had gotten email on Sunday, August 13th telling me about a webinar at 7 PM on Monday, August 21. I saw "Monday" and my brain short-circuited to "tomorrow" when it was really eight days away. But if I hadn't looked again, I might have made the same complaint. |
