Hey warriors,

So I'm getting that message when I try to search on google. There are two sketchy things I've done that might hav etriggered this.

1- I had a macro running for about an hour, but it went to google.com maybe 5 times and it never submitted a querry, only went to google then left.

2- I was researching some international blogs and I searched inurl:blog with SEO Quake turned on, and chose to display 100 results, then tried to sort them by PR.

Do you guys think that was it, or do you htink some malware has made its way onto my computer? (I run ubuntu, so idk how much malware i oculd really have)

Thanks

Ed

It's Your ISP, Had this issue once in a while myself that just came up. Really nothing you did on your part or your computer just a new safety measure from Google.
    BTW I have RCN

It's happened to me several times recently as well. I actually had half a day when I couldn't use the keyword tool because of that - and I tried several different computers in my house.

Once I rebooted my router it was resolved, so you might try that.

It is your ISP because for a while there I could not even get on to Google. RCN my ISP had to actually get in touch with Google and resolve the issue so people could start using Google again. If your stuck on the page then your ISP needs to be made aware of it and get it corrected.

I've only ever had this happen when I've been using SEO Quake. After an hour or so, it's always back to normal

hmm, after not being able to google on my computr i went on my iphone. through the same wireless though, and it asked for the captcha and allowed me to proceed, so O figured, my ISP is now cleared, but when I went on the computer again it still wasnt working. But yeah, it goes back to normal after a couple of hours or so. Just annoying if you're doing research or need to google

This used to happen to me as well when i started using an older version of Market samurai. Once i got the newer version it got some internal proxies all set up so now i don't have any problems.

Perhaps you should try setting up that macro to run behind a proxy.

BTW this has nothing to do with the ISP if GOOGLE gives you a "We're sorry..." note then it's google who's banning you for the sake of you overusing their bandwidth.

ISP stands for Internet Service Provider... they just provide you with the service and unplug you if you don't pay your bills or if you break the law using their service. The only reason they can ban you for is if you don't pay your bills or if someone reported you for hacking or some other malicious activity like virus spreading.

Don't do this. This will almost always get you a temporary IP ban from Google and Yahoo.

Stop doing that.Your temporary IP might be banned if you do it continuosly.

right. In GENERAL, it is for too many queries in too short a period of time.

First query of the day -- it could depend upon what that first query is.

If you are running a google search with seoquake or other seo tools turned on, with 100 results shown -- that could make G a bit grouchy.

Also, if you are using Firefox -- there's an option -- max_connections or something like that -- that some people recommend using to make your browser faster. Yes, can make your browser faster -- but it can also get you temporary bans from Google.

It just happened to me today. I was researching too many keywords and I got that exact warning. After a couple hours I got it again but with a captcha to see if I am human. I got it right and am in Google's good graces again.

Def a temp ip ban from google, too many queries too fast. If you need to do alot of queries get some proxies or reset your ip if it's dynamic. Google does this to me all the time until I change ip's.
