Danny,
Write to your list as if they are your friends. Give them quality and advice in your chosen niche, don't try to sell all the time

Hi Danny,
you're not very clear as to which area you need help with, the technical side of using Aweber or what to put out to your list using Aweber. Can you give us some more to go on?

It's an amazing world out there, let me help you see it.

Hi,

A forum and an autoresponder is two different things, you make no sense whatsoever when you say you build lists via a forum rather than an autoresponder...

Core principles to successful email marketing is to be in constant contact with your list, building a relationship with your list takes time, this is done by providing quality content on a regular basis as well sharing with your list, the happenings of your own life so they know you're a real person and not just a marketer solely sending emails to them promoting products and services.

The money is not in the list, the money is in the relationship you have with your list.

Regards,

Chris Pambos

Give away cool free stuff and build a relationship, always write as if you were writing to one person rather than a list.

1. Create different groups per each product you are push or each niche
2. Either create an auto responder series they get when they first sign up that they look forward to getting that gives them some information that is helpful to keep them active and looking forward to your emails and push products inside the emails
3. Create an opt in page and then only send them a welcome email and how to download their ebook
4. Do not just send out emails pushing product after product. Give things away for free to your list hook them up give them a reason to listen to you and check out your emails
5. I always put a [Tag] in the beginning of my emails and keep them the same. That way my emails are easier to find when they are searching though the junk that might be in their inbox
6. When you send out a broadcast you can then select what groups to send it out to so if you have a weight loss group, internet marketing, seo, ebook promotion you can email out just to the weight loss group for products to do with that or select internet marketing, seo and ebook promotion for a Internet marketing product. You can also set it up so any duplicate email address that might exist between your 3 list only receive one email instead of 2 or 3 if they are on all your list.

Hope this helps you get started

Does anyone else see the potential here if you know Aweber? You could create products, videos, tutorials, etc. to drive traffic to your site or earn $. In this case, an experienced marketer needs help.

Just because you know something, and lots of other people do too, that doesn't mean that everyone knows it. We can't all be in the same place at the same time on the ladder.

The most basic of things (to you) are things that others struggle with and have no clue about. Sure, they can search for it on Google or right here in this forum, but how many times have you wanted to know something, lots of information out there about it, but one guy explains it in a way that speaks to you and the light bulb comes on?

You can be that teacher with the simple things you know.

When sending out an autoresponder sequence (Multiple messages promoting the same product), make sure that each message in the series approaches the benefits of the product one-at-a-time.

For example, let's say you're promoting a social marketing video series...

First message - How the program will increase your PayPal account.
Second message - How to move your Twitter followers from Twitter to your email list.
Third message - How to connect Twitter and Facebook so that your universe of paying prospects increases geometrically.

And so on.

Don't confuse your subscribers by talking about more than one benefit in a single message. If prospects have a choice between doing nothing and doing A, B, or C, they generally will choose to do nothing!

Don't let them forget about you. (I had to delete 4000 subscribers just because I was lazy to follow this rule.)

Keep in contant contact with them by sending free resources, articles and good info. They must be used to see your name in their inbox.

jrrich;
Great advice and well said!

I should maybe post this in a new thread, but its kind of along the same idea.

Can you set up aweber opt in boxes with squidoo lenses? As in as soon as they pull up your lens they get the opt in box...you guys know that I am trying to say. I've looked though squidU trying to find something that relates. But couldn't find anything.

Just started to read awebers info. and have not come across anything yet but I just started looking during my lunch hour.

Any help or Ideas wood be great!

Thanks in advance

Right Chris, my main business model has been creating forums big forums at that and I use the forums to push products all be it its not an auto responder but it is a list and very profitable list at that. People on my forums buy what I reccommend because I am who I am and have built a reputation up.

With forums I can either promote via email or DM I prefer DM but thats just beacause there is no chance that it will get lost in Junk mail folders ect.

I just have never used an auto responder. At the moment I am building a site in teh diet niche and well I have a product to give away when they sign up. However I am just little unsure of the next move, I am thinking give them my ebook, then wait a week and introduced myself, then go on to explain what is expected in coming weeks, then the following week hit them with a product, then two more weeks of reviews articles etc then another product.

Does this sound like a plan?

I understand that it's going to be trial and error howeverI am all up for hitting the ground running!

Regards

Danny

I think that one of the best way to build a list is to provide great content on your website and blog. If you do this, people will subscribe to your list because they know that they will be receiving great value by joining your newsletter. Another way to do is by way of social media marketing, developing relationships with the people on Facebook and Twitter

My goal is to help individuals to create wealth by creating multiple streams of income by combining Network Marketing with Internet Marketing www.DonnyGamble.com

Hi Danny

Yes, this is a plan but I don't think it will be a very effective one.

This works for me;

Message 1 (containing the link to the free eBook or whatever incentive you use) should introduce you, set the readers expectations for future contacts AND include a link to a paid for product.

Message 2 (next day) Provide some more personal info, provide quality relevant content, remind them about the paid for product.

Message 3 (4 days later) repeat the format of message 2

Message 4 (4 days later) repeat but with a different product recommendation.

And so on.

The key points are;

to set expectations from the start

write as if you are writing to a friend (one on one and share personal stuff)

offer your paid products when your subscribers are excited and hot for your stuff (when they've just subscribed, not several weeks later after they've signed up for some other marketer's lists.)

keep it regular, so they get in the habit of reading your emails and clicking your links.

Reward your subscribers with additional freebies from time to time (not too much, you don't want them expecting everything for free)

Deliver your content in different ways; audio, video not just plain text email, this keeps it interesting and they will feel they know you better if they see/hear you.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

I'm pretty sure that this could help you.

Hire a programmer to integrate the sign-up page of your forum to include your autoresponder. This way you can focus on building the forum and the list building is working in auto-pilot as well.

You'll need to redirect to a confirm page where you explain the double opt-in process, and the benefits of confirming, eg. weekly update of the hottest forum posts, special offers, and being able to hear about things related to your forum asap.

By doing this you'll also be able to build stronger relationships with the forum members as you're weekly reminder of the hot topics will get more posts which will bring in more members and give you higher seo rankings.

Hope this helps and gives you a different way of looking at things.
