Wow! What a great forum! Amazing, helpful members, great topics and ideas and sooo many directions to take my efforts. (problem 1)

I am new to IM and felt like a four year old in a toy store.

I know I must focus on one avenue first, build it, tweek it and then maybe consider another. (problem 1 solved)

I am thinking a niche affiliate site with relevant content and something I am passionate about would be the best to start.

Here is where all you valuable resources come in...

What does an effective affiliate marketers site look like? Show me yours please.

How do you drive traffic? Please tell me.

Explain or show me how you couple with blogging, etc. to drive traffic.

Throw any other examples at me that may help.

My head feels mushy again.....

Hi there, and welcome. That's good advice you're giving yourself...listen to it!

There's a niche blogging membership selling here right now in the forum as a WSO that might be a good place to start. Here's the link to Amy Bass' Niche Blogger WSO (not my WSO & not an affiliate link )

It might be just what you're looking for...a step-by-step place to focus, with other people working on similar projects...might help with the info overload and lower the learning curve for you.

    Good luck!

Your instinct to focus on one avenue is spot on. HANG ON TO THAT. It's very easy to lose your bearings and drift off into other ventures. Takes many a-newbie down.

Affiliate marketing is a good place to start. You can get an Adsense account, maybe get some links at Clickbank. The advantage there is not needing to set up a sales system yourself. It just needs traffic. I say "just" like that's easy, but unless you understand PPC and have bucks to spend on it, it's not easy.

I highly recommend bum marketing (article marketing) as your primary means of driving traffic. Not only does it cost you nothing (money-wise), it's good practice for writing quality content for your sites.

Check out the report I'm offering in my sig line below. It's not shameless self-promotion since I'm giving it away for free.

Good luck to you! Warriors can be your best allies.
