Article marketing advice for newbie

Hi

Newbie here trying to take action.

I've just uploaded my first squeeze page online and I know that I need to drive traffic to it.

I've decided that I will try to use article marketing to drive traffic to that page.

So, I've written just 2 articles targetting two keyword phrases and submitted them to Ezine articles. I will write a lot more but I want to learn what to do to get maximum effect with these two articles. I will then be able to rinse and repeat with any further articles I write.

So my question is, what should I be doing, such as backlinking, pinging etc, and how do you set about doing it?

Also, should I be doing anything to my static squeeze page such as pinging it or something.

Sorry for sounding so clueless, but I've got to try and do something.

Thanks for any advice you can offer

I would recommend spinning each article that you write, and distributing it through article distribution services (such as Unique Article Wizard and Article Marketing Automation), with the links in the resource boxes pointing back to your Ezine Article.

This will make your Ezine Article rank higher in the search engines.

Once your articles are submitted in ezine articles I would ping them using a free service called Pingler. Then bookmark them on Digg, Mixx, Faves, Jumptags, and StumbleUpon. There are others you can bookmark with also but I noticed that these sites come up on search results a lot. Particularly Google. Try to vary your titles but keep your main keywords in place.

After you bookmark your articles then ping your bookmarks. Grab your RSS feed from Ezine Articles and your social bookmarks and submit your rss feeds to the rss feed directories. Takes a little bit time to kick in but you will notice it in your analytics when you check stats after awhile. Stay consistent with it and you will notice a nice traffic flow from it.
