Default Debt Vs. Investment

I have done accounting for many years, so I have a good grasp on the fine act of balancing the amount of money you put on investments with the amount of money you use to pay debts. However, I wonder how other internet marketers deal with this very important, but often overlooked issue.

So I though I would get this thread started so that I can ask you - how do you deal with your debt and your investments? Of course, from time to time you find something of value online, like a software that you can use to speed up a marketing process. Many people make those investments with their own credit cards, which increase their debt. At the same time, they must discern how much they pay into their credit cards. So....

Do you only pay the minimum that you need to make purchases?
Do you only make the minimum payment?
Are your credit cards maxed out?
How many credit cards do you have?
How much do you invest in your business?
How much do you WANT to invest in your business?
Do you budget how much you will invest?
Do you track the return on your investments?

I could ask a few more questions, but I believe this is a good start. I think that I could potentially help some of us and even create a service to help everyone with those issues, so please let me know what I can do to help and I will see what I can do...

Best,
Nelson

Well based on the fact that this thread is about to drop off to the 3rd page, and no one seems interested in answering your questions, I will take a stab as to why...

- people see 8 questions and turn back. It would be better to ask 1 or 2 focused questions to start since this is a forum and not a survey site ;-)

- As you know, investing is equally if not more important than making money, BUT my perception is that most people on here are interested in making money rather than investing it. So the real question is, how do we get people to see the importance of investing?

I think your idea is a much needed service, but might need to be positioned a bit differently.

I think there's enough free information out there to where you should very very rarely be spending money out of pocket to buy something. If you haven't made $50 to buy an ebook, keep working with the free stuff until you have.
Huummm... I'm not really trying to sell anything here... I'm just curious how other people deal with it since I have to deal with it too... but I have some training about how to handle it, and most people don't. So I was just a bit curious about that, but by the looks of it, people are not really THAT interested in this issue, so....

Oh, well... maybe most people find it pretty easy to balance it so all they need is a freeby e-book about how to do it.... I guess...

Thank you for your comments

Yeah, that's probably a big part of the issue...

Very true! But if they don't want invest, chances are.... they won't ever make money! They are already investing time in it, might as well invest some money to leverage their time!

Of course there are some who make money without investing money, but... I've never heard of that...

I'm not sure if I want to do something like that. I've done the business before and it turns out that most people don't like investing any money on that kind of advice....

Huuumm... if you were me, what would you change?
