Default Without THIS Your Customer Relationships Will Never Be Profitable

I was just thinking today - the relationships I am building with my subscribers are no different to any other type of relationship. Good business relationships simply depend on dealings which are profitable to both parties and feelings which are positive.

There is one thing that NO relationship can flourish without. Your subscribers will rarely become customers and customer relationships will rarely be very profitable. So, what is it?

TRUST.

Why do your subscribers and your customers need to trust you? Because without trust they will not feel SAFE enough to take the action that you want them to take, whether that is to opt-in for a free product or to actually purchase something.

Without trust they have no way of knowing if you CARE whether or not your advice or your product is right for them individually. Many people have learnt from bitter experience that it’s just not worth taking the chance.

Building profitable Customer relationships and inspiring people to take action has MORE to do with getting people to trust you than anything else you have ever learnt about marketing.

So how do you build trust?

How do you convince people that your product or service is just what they need and even more importantly, what they WANT?

You need to work on building a relationship so that you become REAL in the eyes of your potential customers. Try to get inside their heads and understand what it is they most need. You want them to feel that you UNDERSTAND them and their needs because they are similar to YOU and to your needs.

Make sure your autoresponder messages are personal and engaging. Tell your subscribers about yourself and request that they contact you. Be INTERESTED in them.

One of the most basic needs is to feel IMPORTANT. Convince your subscribers that they are important to you and you are well on the way to building lasting and profitable customer relationships.


I suppose it all boils down to remembering that we are dealing with real human beings - just like ourselves - doesn't it?

I've been trying to do this and I'm having a heck of a time with it. I released some really new and important information for people to read...After about two weeks, I emailed and asked them to respond. Only two responded back. How do you get people to talk to you?

Hello!

I understand your frustration.

Had you been corresponding with your List before you sent out this information? I'm sure you understand that it takes time to build good relationships...

A two week gap might have been a bit long to wait before you requested feedback - especially if you had not referred to the information you sent them in the meantime.

Keep plugging away at it - it WILL pay dividends in the long run
