Default Pure E-Mail Martketing Campaign - Worth it?

Has anyone tried this? What I mean is that your resource boxes would take the reader to a squeeze page, offering a free course/bonus etc. At the bottom you could say "for those looking for <product name> click here, but have no actual landing page. Just have the squeeze and a thank you page as your place to send prospects.

What do you guys think?

Its pretty much standard practice to grab an opt-in (in certain instances) before you send a prospect on to an offer. By saying something like "for those looking for <product name> click here"... you would probably have horrible CTR as people hate being sold to, ya know?

Not sure quite what you're asking?

How do you market this? Does your resource box tell them about a free offer? Because if you tell them about a product, then they click through and you're asking for their e-mail they'll prolly be like... "what?"
