Great news! Google Goal Updates In Anaytics

Looks like Google updated Anaytics in a great way!

*There are now goal sets which allow multiple goals to be saved under one larger goal. So for example, you might have 'contact us' as a goal, but there may be four different ways of completing the goal using different methods (form, email, phone tracking etc). This will let us keep tabs EXACTLY on how goals are being completed in a definitive way. More measurable, more beneficial to our projects.

*Goal funnels have also been updated to become more intuitive so that you can define exact funnels within your goal sets. Perhaps you are selling blue widgets, but wonder which funnel is more user-friendly and profitable? We can now do this to create REALLY tight knit metrics.

*We now have more control on blogs... How many pages/posts are people visiting? This is now a goal option.

*Time on site is now a goal option too! We can literally measure the effectiveness of our design, content etc through hitting specific goal targets. Do we want our visitors to stick on a page? Perhaps you have a video you're testing.. We can measure how many people actually stay on the page for the whole length of the video.

I'm sure there are more features, but this is a major update and as an SEO Executive it makes my job a lot more fun and a hell of a lot more measurable!

Go ahead and start using the great features on offer. If it's more measurable, we can eliminate the bad and exploit the good
