Hi Camharris!

First, you will have to choose the niche that interested you more, then "google " it to see what kind of problems you can solve in this particular niche. then learn all you can find about this niche...

Now, you can start to create a list an offer the solutions (as affiliate) to your prospects!

You have to work the system, or else the system won't work for you. The only reason a system will let you down is if you don't put sufficient effort into it. A lot of the products that you'll come across will actually be pretty decent, but they'll let you down because you'll give up on them very quickly.

So you're saying that the majority of people who do article marketing are rich?

The vast majority of people who try any type of business, both online and offline, fail miserably. The vast majority of people who submit articles to EzineArticles never make it to Platinum.

Every legit product or business model works...it's just that very few people succeed with them because they have the wrong mentality - thinking that simply buying the right stuff will lead to success.

Just because its been done before does not mean you can not make a good go of it. Look if its developing a product or writing copy there is a crowd that will like your style. You will have to look harder sometimes, but you either have it or are close and just need to stay the course.

I would venture to say that most of us are guilty of jumping to the next great system or plan...its only when the successful stopped jumping and worked a plan did they reach success.

Sorry pretty vague language, hope the idea makes it through...

Let me chime in here again...try to encapsulate better where I was going...

Success is about "management"

Its about learning how to manage your business, build it one step at a time and develop a workable day to day plan and working it.

In general you can approach niche selection in 2 ways:

1) If the market has a lot of competition that means there's money in there, so go for it.
2) If the market has a lot of competition that means it's saturated and you won't make any money, so run away from it.

Whichever approach you choose you can't go wrong!

Hey camharris,

Personally, I don't want to consider a product unless it has an existing, identifiable market, and it has been done successfully by others. I've been involved in startups before where we had the latest & greatest thingy in the market, yet it was so new and advanced that most people couldn't recognize the value right away. It turned into long sales cycles and lots of time & money spent educating potential clients.

The big lesson from that was simply go where the money already exists. That's why there are so many people in the health, wealth and travel markets. There is huge demand, and tons of money. Your little piece of that huge pie, can make you extrememly wealthy.

Hope that helps!

Hi Camharris,
No there's not too much new under the sun. But there are many ways of marketingon the net such as-
Pay-Per-Click
Article Marketing
Forum Marketing
SEO
Affiliates
Ebay
Squidoo Lenses
Blogs
Banner ads
Joint Ventures

So I suggest find two or three you like - and focus only on those. Next is deciding on your product - do you make or resell? That's a huge question that only you can answer. Some people love creating products, many hate doing and don't know where to start.

My product selection is the last thing I do. Find an idea then find a product to fit that idea, it works better for me that way. Then your ideas are not limited to the products you have been looking at. Hope that helps a bit

Common mistake, made by most folks when they are starting out. Jump on one product/method, no sales, try the next great thing, no sales, now what do I do??

Keep reading the forums. Look at the WSO sections. Send some private messages to people about things that interest you. Get lots of information from different sources. Eventually, you will find something that appeals to you and matches your skill set. That is the thing you should start with because it will make you money the quickest. Then, you can branch out to other areas.

Knowing how to do keyword research is essential. Try searching something you are passionate about to begin with. Research that as a general term and see what comes up. Look for the keywords with the most clicks, least amount of competition the highest CPC. Then if you think you can rank in the SE go for it. It is usually easier to get an ezine article in the top 10 than your own site. Then build a capture page find a pruduct that relates to that subject write your articles and away you go. This isn't a long term strategy. These little projects are kind of fun.

I am trying this myself at the min, so I don't know if it is a sure-fire way, but it is a start.

Now when u say SE wat exactly do you mean remember im knew to alot of this so i might ask some question that are rather obvious.

and lets say im interested in tvs for the sake of this convo, would that be my niche or would that simply be my product and the niche is how i go about selling those tvs..

as much info of this subject as possible is greatly appreciated

SE stand for search engine, and ezine articles is where a lots of us post our articles for article marketing.

okay will use tv's as an example.

If you wanted to sell tv's, tv's is a broad term. It is going to have a lot of searches and there will be lots of people out there selling tv's. You can set up a site and sell tv's but you won't rank in the search engines straight away. If you were dead set on selling tv's you could set up your site and make getting to the top of the search engines a long term goal by doing SEO (search engine optimization) SEO isn't hard but you have to know what you are doing. If you are going to be any kind of success in marketing I suggest you start learning about it. There is lots of info on here and people are always willing to help. Also if you really wanted to sell just tv's in general you can use ezine articles.

Now if you want to be top in the search for a term related to tv's you can use a keyword research tool. Type in tv's and it will give you a big long list of keywords that relate to that term.

That is as far as I can go with this post. There is a lot of information there and I don't want to confuse you. You can also find everything you need here in the warrior forum. Check out some of the WSO (warrior special offers)- some really great products in there for people in all levels of internet marketing.

Ok the first thing you need to do is stay FAAAAARRRRRRR way from get rich scheme crap.

You need to get the foundations laid out solidly so I suggest you choose between the following 3 business models.

1. affiliate marketing
2. product creation
3. content publisher

1. Do you want to promote other companies' or people's products online?
2. Do you want to create your own digital product and sell it online?
3. Do you want or like to write content? Would you become a religious UNIQUE blogger that can attract attention to their site?

1 = easy setup, medium learning curve, minimal investment, good return, relatively hard work involved, time consuming (if you get stuck)

2. easy - difficult setup, difficult learning curve, bigger investment, very good return, hard word involved, time consuming (if you get stuck)

3. easy - difficult setup (if done alone), easy learning curve, medium investment (in the beginning), medium - good return (in the beginning), very hard work involved, time consuming

Regards,
Reinhardt

P.S- That the 3 options I would think about. There are more off course. It's up to you.

well lets definitely cancel out the product creation, i dont think i have the know how to get into that beast as of yet but i am more than interested in the other 2. I dont exactly know how creative i could be with a blog page but i am more than willing to work if it proves profitable. However i am most interested in the 1st selection and i have the time and money to pursue just not the know how as of yet
