Clickbank Hop Tracking.. Anyone else having problems?

Just wondering, are the clickbank stats in real time? I always thought they were, but over the past few days, I've been having some problems.

I can see from my blog stats that people are clearly clicking my hoplinks (a lot actually) and yet, my stats in clickbank haven't changed all day ..

I noticed the problem yesterday when my stats showed 0 hops for my affiliate marketing and 0 hops for my own product. That's just wrong. I wrote to them, logged in this morning and my stats seemed to be back to normal. Now, since then, no change at all despite sending plenty of traffic according to my wordpress stats..

Anyone else having problems like this lately?
Makes me worried that my sales won't be tracked properly either.
I still haven't got a response to the email I sent them..

Stats are updated once a day from what I see. The last update to my stats was yesterday at 5:29 AM PT

    Thanks guys.
I didn't notice the "stats last updated" box to the left hand side..
That puts my mind at ease a bit..

On few occasions I have heard that there might sometimes be a glitch in ClickBank tracking system too. Now I don't want to sound like some conspiracy here or something, but some affiliates have reported here also on the forum that they sometimes got sudden drops in commissions and stats... then they registered a new ClickBank id and put that on their site and suddenly their commissions were back to normal...

I personally have not experienced something like that , but some other people allegedly have.

      I have...

It seems as though they've fixed this. The last test I ran didn't produce any changes, but a previous time my new account started pumping sales (almost immediately). Go figure.

      Maybe they got smart.

Are you cloaking your links? If not, that could be the problem.

You might also look at your copy. Maybe it needs tweaking.

Also check out the actual sales page. If it's not that great, maybe you need to do something about that.

Finally, are you making sure that you're attracting buyers? Not too long ago I was trying to get an honest review of a Clickbank product. I checked a lot of sites, but finally bought from Yaro Starak because he gave a fabulous review that told me what I needed to know and gave me the info I needed. The others were clearly copies of the sales letter or clones of each other.

Are you doing the work to create something unique, or are you doing a simple copy/paste job that isn't going to convince anyone to buy anything? Especially since everyone else is doing that?

Do the work to make an HONEST review and you'll get the sales - especially if the product is worth it.

I agree. Non-pushy and honest review is what will convince people more.

and not only listing the Pros, but also some Cons. (this way people trust your opinion more since no product out there is only good)

I take it by your response(s) that the you and Sonomacats are making regular sales through CB by writing Honest reviews?

...and if so, do you purchase the products you review? I'm curious because I've promoted CB products in various ways over the last decade, and lately, there's been little to no sales. I guess what I'm asking is... does it work?

Hey there, what do you mean by "lately" no sales...?

If there is a sudden change in commissions, this could be something technical...?

      As to the reviews...

...no, I don't purchase every product I review, but I do the ones that show good conversions initially, especially if I get some questions from visitors about them.

That said, I am a big fan of the "reporter-style" review method.

I am a fan, because it works well for conversions and I have tested it on review sites from weight-loss to relationships (I don't currently review any IM products).

I pick a product, make a completely no-hype review of it, by saying what the product actually "claims", what it is supposed to do and what kind of opinions and reviews I have seen online on other sites.

I basically do the research work for them...

      Here's why..

Most people out there, including myself, will start researching a product and looking on forums of what other people are saying for example about the iPod...

So... I go out and do some of this research and put it on my page, by quoting the sources from where I got the information from.

And if a product doesn't seem to deliver, that's the kind of review I put up too. I quote the bad reviews. I don't try to make it look good in order to sell more.

      Kind of more credibility.

But I also follow a systematic AdSense niche-site business model where I don't do reviews, but just optimized articles.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. "Lately" is a loose term that means: over the last couple of years. It was kinda sudden a couple years ago.

The information you've provided here has given me new hope. I don't promote CB products, I create scripts that the engines reference and place random products in front of my visitors (that's going to change). That method use to work well, but hasn't been converting with the increased competition. The business I'm in sees many different promotion methods, but I can't be sure which methods actually work. You've helped to narrow it down.

        Thanks again...

Same ol' same ol'. You look at your stats and see the same ol' indicating your getting the same ol' traffic. You should be getting the same ol' conversions. You send them the same ol' email and they send you the same ol' response that everything is ok on their end. You read the forums and decide to do the same ol' ... set up another account and you make a few more sales ... then the same ol' happens then you send them the same ol' email and get the same ol' response that everything is like just same ol' happening on their end. ....

My dear friend it is like shoveling sand into the wind or pissing in to the wind ...

Clickbank don't care they send out the same ol' email letters, responses templates every same ol' time over the same ol 2+ years ...

My same ol' response is they have a tracking problem and this is why the industry needs to be regulate so people don't get hosed on traking issues that never get fixed or addressed.

    I give up...
