Default Where to automate physical product order processing and delivery (big fat binder type stuff)

Hey guys,
As the title reads, where is it possible to automate physical product order processing and delivery? Im in the process of putting together a product that I would like to offer a hard version of, in addition to the downloadable product.

What I have in mind is a big fat binder accompanied with a CD.

I recall CDarklock saying once.."nothing excites me more than a delivery that goes THUD on the porch"

And I reckon he's right!

I am aware of Kunaki for CD delivery, but who, how, or where can I have this done?

Any suggestions?

I use disk.com for my product printing and fulfillment. You just need to hook your shopping cart up with their system.

Just be aware. Printing a large binder will add significant costs onto your production. Sometimes up to $20 or more depending on your quantity. Plus, it adds to shipping costs too.

And think about if you want to go with single sided printing vs. 2 sided printing. The double sided reduces your "thud" factor in 1/2.

Best,

If you use Priority Mail for shipping, extra weight doesn't add extra cost.

My customers tell me they prefer double-sided printing for environmental reasons. Other markets may not care about that.

marciayudkin

Thanks for the heads up.

Ill cut straight to the chase here before I invest any more time on this. Im thinking that a physical product may be "percieved" as having a higher value by my customers. Would I be correct in thinking this?

Also, as you seem quite knowledgeable on this topic - which would you choose and why?

It will simply be a binder or a book accompanied by a CD.

Thanks again.

Yes, definitely.

My highest priced infoproduct is a $1,297 home study course. It includes tangible stuff plus feedback from me. No way I could get that kind of money for something that didn't include shipped items. The feedback/coaching component is essential, too.

We do our own fulfillment except when I am traveling, in which case I have a virtual assistant handle it, so I'm not actually using any of the solutions I listed from my research.

Best wishes,
Marcia Yudkin

Interesting, why did you choose to go with your own fulfilment - do you personalize the package or is there another reason?

By feedback, are you referring to testimonials from buyers???

Many reasons. We go to the post office almost every day anyway; it doesn't take that much time to create and send products; we know this way that things are being done right; we get to keep more of what we make; I can add a personalized "stick letter" and unannounced bonuses, etc.

I'm not totally crazy. Bill Myers does his own fulfillment, too.

P.S. I could talk your ear off about the product fulfillment problems I see from some infomarketers...
