Ok, I am thinking of buying a site which as the domain:

This isn't it, but using this as a near identical example, is this copyright infringement and are Twitter likely to shut me down if I am selling a product like this below:

It wouldn't be a copyright infringement in any case. It could be a trademark infringement, however.

I would recommend using the more generic term "social networking" or "social media", etc., rather than taking the chance. No one can tell you for sure because Twitter may not be taking action on domains like this now, but who knows what happens in 6 months?

Plus, you can switch focus to a different social networking product later without wasting the domain.
