Youtube Related Videos now based On The video File name Not the Title...

hey guys

has anyone noticed that if you post up a video on Youtube...

The related videos have nothing to do with the title of your video

But what has happened with me is that the related videos seem to be the same topic as the 'File Name' of the video!

anyone else notice that ?

could be a new way for you to get into the related videos of popular vids...

I hadn't noticed this... I may test it out though. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Sounds like a pretty easy way to get youtube traffic - if only it converted better.

excellent tip! I have been having problems getting my videos ranked as well - NO WONDER - my file names are like video1.wmv etc.

Time to change the file names and re-upload!

lol yeh its weired

because one of my videos was about internet marketing product launches

but the related videos were about 'webcams' ???

then i noticed that the video filename was 'webcamrecording.flv. lol

If that's true, hopefully it's a glitch, because if it IS true it will make for a crappy user experience overall.

I mean, it's easy for people like us to figure out and exploit, but regular users have videos calls zi6_007.mov and the like. Pretty soon, all we'll see in related videos is ringtone offers and clickbank products!

They kinda fixed it. instead of seeing a list of one related video that is followed by unrelated videos.

its only one related video. maybe its because i removed that tag thats the same as the file name
