Default Web 2.0 Properties - Same user name on 12 sites - Need advice

I have about 12 Web 2.0 properties all using the same user name- all promoting the same product.

Is this a problem? For getting the backlinks and content there indexed?

Example:
h t t p://johndoe.livejournal.com/product-name
h t t p://johndoe.blogspot.com/product-name
h t t p://johndoe.tumblr.com/product-name
h t t p://johndoe.vox.com/product-name
etc.
etc.
etc.

The content on each is different, but the same theme.
But, I was wondering if the user names in URL (being all the same) is a problem...

Thanks..

In my opinion it's not a problem, it's branding. I and many
of my friends use the same username, and often even
the same colors, logo, etc. across multiple platforms.
That gets your audience accustomed to you brand and
can feel very professional.

No Andy, I'm reluctant to use the Wheel... I do need some kind of system though.

I'm worried about google seeing "user name" duplicated everywhere and then not indexing any of them.

Is duplication in the URL a problem?

No there isn't any problem creating blogs/hubs/lenses like this. I think the problem arises only when you interlink all these web 2.0 properties. Actually I'm not sure even if the latter is a problem because most people have doing it successfully.

Shouldn't be a problem. I've been doing it with good results.

Interlinking is not a problem BUT there should be some randomness
in the pattern of interlinking, and you should deep-link to internal
pages on some sites. Random inter-linking looks natural, which
is what you want. Having all of the site interlinked the same or
all linking to the same page on sites with lots of pages can
appear unnatural to the search engines.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess when we think and link like how others would link to our sites, our links would seem very natural.

Yeah I actually start mine with a basic wheel and then sort of forget what I did on purpose to make it random. Works great.

Mix in links to you vid sites that link to your main page etc.
