| Hi everyone, I would like to hear your opinions about my domain name swineflufashion.com. I know there are many Swine Flu related domain names and that Swine Flu, in general, is a trendy issue. However, unlike all the "usual" Swine Flu domains which deal with the news aspect of the epidemic, swineflufashion.com has a good potential as a branded domain name. Its site can cover the fashionable side of the epidemic and sell swine flu products: t-shirts, hats, bags, etc... The current web site (swineflufashion.com) is actually some kind of a practice for me. It is ranked as #1 on Google, Yahoo and Bing for the term "swine flu fashion" (with or without quotes) but on the other hand its PR is 0. I would like to mention that I also bought the following domains: swineflufashion.net swineflufashion.info swineflufashion.biz swineflufashion.me swineflufashion.mobi swineflufashion.org swineflufashion.us - The idea was to protect the brand. Do you think it was a smart move or not? I don't intend to maintain the current web site for a long time but I do intend to sell the domains in the near future (without the site). What could be a reasonable price for all of these domains in the current status (PR=0)? What could be a reasonable price incase PR increases to 3? Thanks, Tal |

It is a good idea now that the swine flu is in, but in two months everybody may forget.

I think swine flu could be around for another half year or so. I would try and do a lot of work to get it popular and then flip it within a few months.

I'm laughing really hard - and I'm sorry. But all I could think of was "robes to barf in". With people dying of swine flu, I just can't imagine a market for products that would advertise the disease. I know - maybe I'm not thinking outside the box but I think I'll stay inside the box on this one. good luck kay |

My whole family got the swine flu and the other day my daughter was searching for "I survived the swine flu" t-shirts.

Remember in the old days we would say, "I'll do this or that when Pigs Fly?" Well, Swine flu. I'm not signing this. |

hmm swine flu fashion. You should sell clothing with swine flu on it. That's what I think I would find on a website named that lol. Kidding aside, don't sell clothing with swine flu on it, you could get into serious legal trouble :P

I'm not making a mistake - I'm making a choice. If it works for you, that's great. For me, it doesn't work. But I still like the barf robe ![]() kay |

If you still can, I would get a refund from those domains. Godaddy gives you a certain period of time. Swine Flu of course is a hot topic but does not relate in the slightest to fashion ... and it's kind of insulting ... with the President just declaring the Swine Flu epidemic a national emergency, to make light in any way from it ... as in fashion. In addition, what do you plan to sell? Some bogus crackerjack Clickbank product? People really ought to stay out of health care if they can't do it right. |

I bought SwineFluLevelSix.com because the Swine Flu has reached (and has stayed at) a Level Six pandemic. Any takers? |

I tend to agree. I think it'll be around a while. I read an article somewhere recently where someone was making a pretty decent wad o cash from marketing and selling SwineFlu type merchandise at Cafepress.com. I think they were making a play on words about a pig who flew. Or it could have been a "I survied the Swine Flu and All I got was this lousy tee shirt" type deal. I think it's got wings |

I think you may have gone overboard with the number of domains you bought. Would have stuck with .com and .net I don't see the need to protect a brand that is going to have a limited lifespan, 1 year at best. Now, find some funny swine flu t-shirts and cash in. |
