Default Easy Is Dead - Long Live Dedication

I joined the Warrior Forum about 3 years ago I think and today as much as back then I keep seeing the same questions from noobs and intermediate wannabe marketers who have yet to find some levels of success online.

Everyone is after easy riches!

Fact is EASY doesn't exist. Yes, you could have success by sheer chance after stumbling across an under-serviced niche, and you could of course deem this to be 'easy' success. However, even then it isn't 'easy' because you still have to do your research, create your content and launch whatever it is you are launching.

Success in an online business - in any business is about dedication. Heck, I should know because before I managed to build a successful freelance writing business I too stumbled about in search of a magic bullet for success.

Until I realized that no matter how many eBooks I would buy, membership programs I would join and money I would throw at the wall in the hopes some of it would stick - none of it works unless I actually TAKE ACTION.

So I did.

I have never looked back again and within seven months I went from a frustrated noob to running a successful business. That was back a couple of years ago now.

Can it be done faster? Sure. Will it take longer for you? That depends. However, it isn't easy and you won't get rich overnight either.

Remember the MAGIC word - it's called dedication!

Stick with your chosen income plan for at least three months and WORK IT BABY. Success will not happen if you upload 10 articles to Ezinearticles and then sit back to collect the money.

Whatever it is you are doing, if you currently struggle to make money online STOP right now and analyze your true motivations for buying every WSO, every membership program and everything else that is dangled in front of your eyes.
  • Are you motivated by greed?
  • Are you slack?
  • Are you REALLY passionate about your intentions?
  • How dedicated to your success are you?

Be honest with yourself and think long and hard about how you want to make money online - if all. Once you are absolute certain about your choice it's time to dedicate yourself to your success and not give up because you face difficulties.

Giving up is easy! Success is not!

Hope this helps to stop you from turning in circles.
Monika

Though I am not making much right now. I had basically messed around for about a year now I am laid off. I have made the commitment to do 5 articles a day and 25 back links and once that become easy to me I will add more work.

This space is a bit like my mind. Empty

verbose, that is exactly the way to do it. Master one thing until it is easy and then go on and master something else.

Easy has been dead for a while, dedication and smart marketing are the way to go.

Great thread...Really what I need to hear right now. I tried all this about a year ago while I was getting into a new house. I really got side tracked. I am trying to get focused on something and run with it and not worry about what i don't know and just learn while doing. Thank you!

Hi Lionel,

It's easy to get sidetracked, it happens to all of us at some stage. I'm glad this thread has helped you in some ways though. Just find something you are really passionate about and run with it - the rest will take care of itself with your dedication and hard work.

All the best

james, you quoted a poster that said he was "laid off". What does that have to do with you getting laid?

Think IM'er no longer pay for directory listings? They do at Dirmania

well written post - I hope everybody looking to make it on the net realize that its not gonna be a get rich overnight system that they are in for but a journey that will allow them to appreciate their business when they have put time and effort into it.

The end results will be nothing short from SWEET

Well I have to say actually that marketing online is very easy when compared to any other option.

I have had more success getting exposure for my music in a year online than I have in many many years offline.

However to your point, getting rich online still takes extraordinary effort, investment, time and yes dedication.

Scale is always, always the issue.

And scale requires outsorcing and or PPC and either of those require investment.

And Before you invest you better make darn sure you have a profitable model.

And having a profitable model means being very very organized and dedicated to details and follow through.

For me I have done whatever outsourcing I can afford and experienced huge benefits. But in the end its about how many dollars and hours you can invest. That why huge corporations run the world.

Thats close, but not quite right!

There *is* such a thing as easy.

Think about highschool, what was your toughest subject?

For me, it was algebra. I spent hours and hours learning how to do certain types of equations.

At first, it would take me 10 or 20 minutes a problem; and I would frequently get them wrong.

But after I understood *what* I was doing, doing it was *easy*!

you see the difference?

Another example, would be a car mechanic. Now for those of us unenlightened to the inner workings of an engine repairing such a thing would be insanely difficult.

For the mechanic? While it might be hard to actually perform the labour, doing it is easy!

Because he learned how

Hi breakdance,

I certainly hear you. Easy is possible ONCE you KNOW what you do. But I'm sure you agree that none of us is born with knowledge on how to build a successful business.

I'm afraid our schooling system is much to blame because instead of teaching history, and other non-essential crap for survival we should be taught how to think like an entrepreneur.

So most people end up as government slaves, chasing jobs rather than building their own dream lifestyle.

I'm afraid I could rant on forever on the topic. But let's leave it at that.
