Default keywords in domain name

Hey

I've learned that I can get more traffic to a site if I include keywords in the domain name, that is keyword relevant to the content on the site.

SO I set about doing some keyword analysis, I've so far found 2 keywords, lets call them ABC and XYZ. (abc-xyz.com is available. I found other keywords too, but domains woudn't be available)

The monthly search volumes:
ABC XYZ = 1900, available pages = 4340000
ABC = 68000000

Will i with these keywords do good when user searches for keyword ABC separately also. Or will it do good for searches which include ABC XYZ?
1900 monthly searches?

I haven't registered any domains yet, still doing keyword analysis to come up with a good domain name, but mostly all domains I come up with is already taken, except abc-xyz.com...

Another domain I'm thinking about is ABC-MNO.ORG,
ABC XYZ = 450000, available pages = 4400000
This domain looks more attracktive as it more searched, but sadly both .com and .net is already taken. Only .org is available

What you suggest? should I go for abc-xyz.com or abc-mno.org?

You can also add a prefix or suffix to your desired domain name, it still has the keyword in it.

Hope it helps.

Itīs really quite simple.Look at what your best keyword is and put it in your domain name.It is quite difficult to find a short "catchy" .com domain name these days, so you might need a keyword tool to get ideas. Here is a good (and free) keyword tool: KeywordIndex: the keyword suggestion tool for keyword discovery, research and analysis

You can also put a hyphen in the middle of things, often even those are taken tho, I have some domain names I like with multiple and combinations of hyphens. you can also add an ending word like info, ie pedigree burmese cats info dot com, and pedigree burmese cats and burmese cats will still be keywords, and pedigree-burmese--cats -info dot com..etc
also...look at the lst columm if you're using the google keyword tool and see if the advertising market is saturated, try to get names with no more than say 85% saturation. if saturated it means you have to spend like bank of america to get any visibility, whereas 10% saturated means if you do some articles they have a good chance of reaching page one for that keyword.

If you have a 600,000 hits keyword and the advertising bar is 100% saturated, walk away from that keyword, it means everyone has discovered it. articles you make might reach page 5, and google ads might be on page 10, just as an exageratted way of explaining it.

What if you find a good keyphrase and discover that only .org and .net is available for a site. Which one would you take? .org or .net?

I would prefer .org, that might be okay today as I'm having no plans of selling stuff, only get affiliate money...
