If you are creating a site that will be marketed locally, what is your take on registering local domains (e.g. CityTopic.com) versus creating a regular domain (e.g. Topic.com) where people must select their city on the home page? Thanks, Brandon |

I have a lot of domains that are geo-targeted. I only want the local folks to respond to the offers as they are only for them. If you are looking to capture a broader market than having a broader based domain name would be the way to go. It's all about the offer... KJ |

HOWEVER -- and this is a big however -- keep in mind that the non-geographical domain name may not be the best choice even if it is getting far more searches, because a lot of the searches are probably not local to the business. | |
