Hi I was trying to add some files onto my membership website where my members can download all at once. I have 25 zipped files inside of a zipped folder because that's the only way I could think of in order to link the download button to the file. Do I only need to drag that zipped folder to my public_html to make everything "downloadable" for my members. Or do I need to drag and drop each one of those zipped files?

If you have all your zipped folders in one main zipped folder, all you do is drag your main zipped folder into your public_html. Thanks, Adam |

As long as all 25 zipped files are within that one main zip folder you only need drag and drop that main folder, the 25 will automatically be uploaded as part of that package. One just question, how big is the main zipped folder? If it's huge some people with dial up connections may have difficulty downloading it. |

Thanks for the information! Hey and one more thing. I'm using my coffecup visual site designer for this specific website. When it gets to the end of the download it's now freezing on that zipped file. What could be the deal here? And to charann it's not that big "I think". |

It might be too big. Try splitting them up into 5 folders containing 5 zipped files each, FTP and then try downloading again to see if that works. |

Hi Jeffery, I've just started working on my new site and newsletter for IM webmasters and I've been looking out for topics that I can blog/video about. You may have already sorted this out, but I've created a video anyway that goes through the process of zipping and uploading the zip file. It has a couple of other handy tips in there too. The video is at: The Webmaster Course Blog Archive Zip And FTP Upload Enjoy |

Hey ! I really appreciate that video! I never knew how to hide downloads from the search engines. I'm sure glad you were able to see and reply to my thread. God Bless You! Jeff | |
