Best strategy for selling an amazon product?

Title: not selling should be promoting.

I have been promoting a few amazon products on one of my sites but have made litle or no sales so far. The demand is high for the products but the sales are low

I am promoting my products to customers in the buying mode.

Only made 1 sale so far. Any advice (without giving away the site)?

Tried to review the products as well.

ive got a few amazon website niches also would love some infomation on getting sales or promotion on this my site is one of the best on yahoo for the keywording but never seem to sell a thing just unique hits and some traffic,

People can smell selling tactics. Do a soft sell in the review or compare different products on the same page with star ratings etc.

Maybe they don't want to buy from amazon - can you find other sellers? Do the price comparison and point to the best one for your customer.

It's really hard to say anything without seeing your site.
