Ok so when you buy the Aweber PLR do you also get their testimonials?

Now, look at Tellman Knudson's Private Label NinjaResponder:
Testimonials of NinjaResponder Unlimited Autoresponders & Newsletters.

Except for Michael Rasmussen's all the testimonials are the same. (So, Rasmussen And Knudson don't get along very well

)

Where's the FTC me says!

As the number one testimonial, I was a little surprised to see them change the name of the service and leave the rest as-is.

However... The platforms really are exactly the same. There is no PLR for AWeber per se. All private label systems run on their servers, and the support, system, and deliverability are handled by AWeber, so they really are one in the same.

My guess is the FTC wouldn't be particularly interested since I really did give that testimonial, and it's for the platform as much as the URL. However, it'll be interesting to see what the future holds for these types of situations.

So, you don't care if you're testimonial was misused?

Even if no, isn't this the wrong way of driving money. After all, Aweber doesn't get the money, while you gave the testimonial to them and not NinjaResponders. They're riding on Aweber's popularity and I think that should be illegal. Don't You Think?

AWeber does profit from it, as it's co-branded not actually PL, in the same way an affiliate is compensated. The only difference is the URL, logo, name of the service, and contact (support phone number and email -> AWeber) ... and that some of the PLs are still using AWeber's original technology, as opposed to the newer, feature enhanced version.

Bottom line ... the customer is receiving AWeber technology, service, and support ... the testimonials are based on that, not the name of the partner(s) making it available.

Well, it's evident that Aweber is giving them the permission.

And I don't think it's in the right spirit of selling. I mean, it's like Hayes giving me the permission to sell their product under my brand name and allowing me to use Michael Jordan as the brand ambassador.
