Lets say I have the 3 word domain name "ABC".com.

The combo of "abc" gets no searches.

but "AB" gets a good amount of searches

and "AC" a good amount of searches.

question is will the the word domain "ABC" be an effective domain name?

Thanks, Ron.

Yes I'd say so... but it all depends on your targeted keywords in your meta tags and targets on any inbound links.. as long as your targeting ab & ac, you might get a little extra bump...

    my 2 cents...

I'm afraid it'll not be an effective one.But it still depends on the degree of association
among AB、AC and ABC.If they are much related and similar, maybe ABC in this situation
makes a sense.Or,you should think over another better domain instead.

the combos are very associated. All are a physical retail product.

      I sell AB
      I sell AC
and I sell ABC. ABC is a very small niche but profitable. The ABC domain name will be well recognized by the customers that I am going after.
