I remember hearing somewhere that registering a url for more than 1 year helps you in google's eyes.
Does anyone know should you register for 2 years, 5 years, 7 years, or does it not matter as long as you register for more than a year? |

I think what helps you in Google's eyes isn't how long until the domain expires, but how long since the domain was registered.
