Is it considered OK to send a special offer to my existing customers even though they haven't explicitly opted in for my newsletter? (Clickbank automatically gives you the email address when you make a sale.) I WANT them to have a special offer but I don't want to abuse their trust. What do you think? |

Go for it. Just be open and honest. And be sure to include (and explain how to use) an unsubscribe link. |

Thanks Lance! I also found this after Google'ing... I'm going for it: Sending mails to people you have a pre-existing commercial relationship with is reasonable, to the extent that you make it easy for them to get off your list if they want to. |

Just to make sure you have explained they have bought something from you previously so they can recall. Otherwise they will be curious how you get their email address. :-)

I don't see why not. I wouldn't try to sell them anything. Just a thank you with a gift and a way to unsubscribe.

Nice thought, but you'd better be more cautious.Or some guys may just think you are disturbing.Make sure the offer is really valuable and required. |
