Use the seasons to advantage. Lists are always popular.
Ex:Top 10 scary movies to watch -- for haloween. Top 10 weekend spots during the Fall Top 10 things to avoid when choosing your fantasy football team. Top 3 secrets to dominate your fantasy sports club every damn year and be the envy of everyone else. These kind of lists always get picked up by the social sites and get a flood of visitors. |

Tips to Get Repeat Web Traffic
1. Update the pages on your website frequently. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines. You can even put a date counter on the page to show when it was last updated. 2. Offer additional value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their sites and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competition with your own product. 3. You can allow customers to ‘opt in’ to get discounts and special offers. Place a link on your site to invite customers to ‘opt in’ to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons. 4. Add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’. 5. Add a link ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ so that the visitor can email your website link, with a prewritten title, “Thought you might be interested in this”, just by clicking on it. 6. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a ‘Contact Us’ link on each page. 7. Create a ‘Our Policies’ page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site. 8. Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your site. 8. Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark. 9. Never spam a client, who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide they want to ‘opt out’ of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the mailing list. They may still come back if they like your products. But they will certainly not come back if you continue to flood their email box with mails they no longer wish to receive. |

Host a teleseminar to share information on a particular topic,
endorse your website on the backend, and make a great offer on the call to drive traffic to your website. Record the call and allow your affiliates to give it away to their subscribers. Transcribe the call and turn it into a viral PDF that your affiliates can give away along with the audio. You can also post the call and PDF on your Blog, it will not only give you credibility with your readers, but it will also keep them coming back for more! Rinse & repeat. |

Create a Review Page for affiliate product
This is popularly known as pre-selling. It involves creating a web page where you will do a review of the product you are promoting before sending them over through your affiliate link. On your review page, make sure you reveal clearly how the product has helped not only you, but also many other people. State clearly the benefits of the product and put people in the mood to buy before they go over to the product they are promoting. This will help in increasing your conversions because you are not hard-selling, but you're writing as an unbiased reviewer aimed to help the readers in evaluating the affiliate product. |

Some people will see this tread like yourself and not understand it and others will see this as a great thing. I'm doing two things here: 1. I'm giving back to the warrior forum community. $50 to some people is a lot of money. I know the people I paid are happy with what I've done here. 2. Members are all giving great content in one place about traffic tips. Sure, you'll see some bad posts here and there, but there's also some great content here.

Forum marketing can be an effective strategy to build your business on the internet.
One great advantage of forum marketing is that you'll get valuable backlinks to your website or blog. Another benefit is that forum members will click on the link on your sig file if they're interested; even non-members will also see your sig if the thread is picked up by the search engines. The more forum posts you make, the more backlinks you get, and the more popular your site becomes with your search terms. Here's some excellent forum marketing tips to maximize the moneymaking potential of forums: 1) Read the forum rules carefully. All forums have their own specific policies and regulations. A certain action might be acceptable in one forum, while it may violate the rules of another forum, even if both forums have the same theme. For example, some forums allow graphics or colored text in your sig file, while some don't. Some forums may allow mature language, while some don't. 2) If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. I know how tempting it is to voice out your feelings and practice your freedom of speech; but if you want to be a member in good standing and build good relationships with other forum members, think twice before posting anything. Sometimes, we simply cannot avoid offending others, so make sure you apologize once you realized you've upset anyone. It's noble to admit your mistakes. 3) Include an attractive sig file. Some forums have certain unique rules you must observe when it comes to putting your sig files. Some don't allow affiliate links in the sig files (but a link to your website or blog where you're promoting an affiliate product is fine). Some forums allow graphics or colored text in your sig file, while some don't. Some forums don't allow you to put any sig file at all; personally, I think it's a waste of time posting at them unless you're enjoying, learning, or helping others. If you're unsure, you may lurk around to see if others are putting in their sig files. If others are not doing it, then there's a good chance including a sig file may not be appropriate. Some of the forum members may even think you're spamming. So read the rules and observe other posts carefully. 4) Adjust to the forum's atmosphere and attitude. Blend in like a chameleon and write the way they write, so they'll feel right away that you're part of the group. 5) Help others by giving sound advice based on your knowledge or expertise, or by researching on the solution to their problem. With the availability of the internet, you have the capacity to find unlimited information that you desire to know. By posting helpful tips or advice, you'll earn their respect and admiration. 6) If possible, be the first to start a thread on the most talked about or most in-demand topic, and give related tips or techniques that will "turn heads". Remember to write an eye-catching thread title, but not one that misleads. 7) Don't sell or promote anything. That's your sig file's job. If the members are asking anything and your site or free report is in line with the subject of discussion, you may subtlely mention it as long as it's helpful and not promotional in nature. 8) Show your appreciation and thank people who have helped you. In the Warriors forum, they even put a beer icon (oops, it's been removed) that allows you to send money to a member. It's a good way to give back when someone helps you out. Hope this helps, Michael |

Another traffic tip.
Use two part articles to attract prospects back to your website, blog etc. For example if your products about traffic generation, write an article about 10 techniques to drive traffic to your website. Part one you submit to EZA an other article directories, giving five techniques away then in your resource box, lead your readers back to your website where part two is continued giving the other 5 methods. At the end of part two of your article on your website, give a link and a call to action to your product or an affiliate product. paul |

7 Ways to Leave Comments and Drive Traffic Back to Your Blog
People say that to make an impression, you’ll have to open your mouth. While that is physically impossible in the virtual world of the Internet, saying your piece is not entirely difficult to do. Thanks to forums and discussion boards, you can leave a comment or start a discussion thread about virtually any topic from anywhere in the world. And yes, you can even leave comments to drive traffic to your blog and increase your readership. Leaving effective comments You’re probably old enough to know that not every comment that gets thrown into an opportunity for interaction creates the desired effect, much less become appreciated by those who hear or read it. If you don’t use this technique carefully, you will either waste the opportunity or simply allow it to create the wrong impression. Here are 7 ways you ought to do it: Choose the sites you leave comments on Ever wondered why Tiger Woods is great? Because he chooses his battles well. You’ll never find Woods swinging his club at a lesser known tournament – not because he’s a snob but because he focuses on the games that truly matter and on being on equal ground with other greats. Keep this in mind before you leave comments on a website. Just because you have the burning need to drive traffic to your blog doesn’t mean you can just drop by a site – any site – and write there. Choose the sites and blogs whose forums you participate with. Find out if the site deals with a topic or subject related to your very own blog. Practice only purposeful commenting – the kind where you leave only well-crafted comments on sites that will help build the buzz about your blog. If the site is completely irrelevant but you have the urge to leave a comment, do so only during your spare time. Otherwise, focus your energies only on more productive activities. Know what you’re saying Before you leave a comment with the purpose of driving traffic to your blog, at least write one that is useful. Your goal is to be noticed AND respected for your opinions so leaving useless and dead end comments such as ‘Cool!’ and ‘Way to go!’ just won’t cut it. If this is the best you can do, forget about leaving comments right now and focus on other strategies to drive traffic to your blog. Better avoid this technique than be embarrassed or be viewed as lame or mediocre. But if you can write and have something meaningful to say, by all means, do so. With every comment you have, make sure you keep it short, concise, to the point and useful. Talk about relevant topics and avoid those that will do nothing for your purpose. Avoid strong language Of course, some sites will probably allow you to leave comments that are strongly worded or at least camouflaged as symbols such as !#$%&*, but there are ways to get your point across, regardless of how angry, upset or argumentative you are. Furthermore, majority of sites and blogs impose certain regulations that restrict the use of certain words. Try to rephrase a sentence without losing its main thought. Use an online thesaurus, if necessary. Remember that once a comment is posted online, there’s no way to get it back especially if it’s not your site. You can leave that comment there to rot but you can never take it back. Do not be rude Have a sense of humor. The Internet is a vast expanse of space, currently limitless. In fact, it’s a whole universe unto itself. If people leave comments on your post that seem to insult you or argue with you, don’t fight back without thinking. First of all, we are a democracy and people have every right to their own opinion. Second, firing back with the same kind of idiotic language will not be a good reflection on you. Third, you’re way better than that. If you must defend your stand, do so with class. Calm down Please, if you must drive traffic to your blog by leaving comments on other websites, keep it professional and tone it down. DON’T LEAVE MESSAGES LIKE THIS ONE!!!!!! A good rule of thumb is to follow accepted structure of the English language or whatever language it is you’re using to post. If you must use exclamatory points, make sure they are truly needed. Otherwise, avoid them. Leaving comments written in purely bold or capitalized letter smacks of desperation and unprofessionalism. It’s hardselling and makes people stay away in droves. Check replies to your blogs Maximize commenting on other sites and drive traffic by frequently checking back on the forum you participated in to see if there are any replies to the post you left. This is a good way to build buzz and network. Check your facts If you will be quoting someone or citing a certain study, make sure your facts can be corroborated. Don’t use make believe or newly invented figures and statements or even half-truths and try to pass them off as legit. You will be exposed. If you want to drive traffic to your blog by leaving comments, make sure you don’t tarnish your reputation with the effort. |

10 MASSIVE Tips to get FREE Traffic to your website
1. write 1 article a day and submit it to ezine articles, you can also mass submit the articles using isnare or article marketer or you can even use any of the mass submission software now available and mass submit it yourself 2. Find forums relevent to your niche and try to make at least 5 good posts a day, when doing this make sure your signature is attractive enough to make people click and make you check the rules of the forum, for instance the warrior forum does not allow affiliate links. 3. Create a video and submit it to youtube and to as many video sites as you can, make sure the video is good enough to get people to come to your main site. You can also optimize the title of your video to target a long tail keyword, that way you get even more free traffic from the search engines, the search engines love videos and they tend to rank them very well 4. Create a squidoo lens, as you probably know squidoo is one of the sites google like, so create a squidoo lens on a topic related to your niche and do a little seo on it to make it rank well 5. Submit your site to as many social bookmarking and social network sites as possible and you should be able to get good free traffic, just ensure that you choose the right categories and that you make the title of your story very interesting. 6. Submit press releases, not all sites charge you to submit press releases just do a google search for free press release websites and you would get tons of sites where you can submit free press releases to drive traffic to your website 7. Have a signature in your email whenever you send it to anybody, the traffic you would get from this might not be targeted but at least it is free 8. Create a free hub using husbpages, this is another site google likes and if you do a little bit of seo you should be able to rank for just about any keyword 9. Leave comments on other peoples blog related to your niche, try to make sure you are among the first people to leave a comment and you should be able to get even more traffic. Also make your comment as interesting as possible so that people interested in you thereby making them click on the link to come to your site. 10 Give true and honest testimonial to other people in your niche, this way when they put it on their salespage usually with your website address you should be able to get a lot of free traffic depending on who the person you gave the testimonial to and how much traffic his or her site gets Cheers |

Use the facebook quiz application and either create a funny quiz or something relevant to your friend list that they wouldn't mind answering. The application allows for a link to your website, so it's like utilizing an email list.

Here are more tips to maximize the profitability of ezine solo ads:
1) The subject line is the most important part. They won't read the rest of your solo ad if the subject line is not interesting enough to grab their attention and entice them to read further. 2) Write the most hypnotic and benefit-laden words in all caps, but don't overdo it. This will allow the reader to take more notice of the words in all caps. For example, you could say, "This BLOWOUT offer will end after 48 hours, so GRAB IT NOW if you want to take advantage of one of the best deals ever." If they're only skimming, they will at least see, "BLOWOUT…GRAB IT NOW." 3) Create a sense of urgency and scarcity. An example would be telling the readers that the offer is limited to the first 10 (or whatever number you decide) customers only, or up to a certain date or time. 4) Format the ad up to 60 characters only for a more convenient reading experience. You may use a free service like formatit.com. 5) Follow the short paragraph rule. Short paragraphs make it easier for the eyes of the reader and are easier to understand. Paragraph should be a maximum of 4 lines only. 6) Add the most convincing testimonials if they can add "power" to the solo ad. 7) Make your ezine solo ad short in scope, if possible. The longer the ad, the more prone it is to be caught by the email filters. Treat the solo ad as a teaser that directs the reader to visit the sales letter. However, a long solo ad is not a bad idea if it's necessary, as long as you pass it through a dependable spam filter. 8) Put a "PS" or two that contains the biggest benefit or strongest call to action. 9) Make sure the solo ad passes through a reliable spam filter. If the person sending the solo ad has a sophisticated autoresponder (like aweber), your ezine solo ad can be checked for any spam-triggering words before being broadcasted. 10) Advertise only in ezines or newsletters that are identical to the topic of the affiliate product you're promoting. Here are recommended sources where you can place your ezine solo ads or negotiate with ezine publishers: Ezine Advertising: Solo-Ads Ezine - Free Solo Ads BestEzines - Email Newsletter Peer Reviews & Ezine Awards For Ezine Publishers Ezine Publishers & Email Marketers Promote Their New Email Newsletter's Here For Free |

No one has mentioned Free Classified Sites, and I assume it's because of all the recent changes...But you can generate a ton of traffic from places like USfreeads, backpage, craigslist, etc.
I manage to get 100 or more leads a week from them for my money making site(s). If you aren't interested in posting yourself on these sites you can simply outsource the work. If you are then a few unique posts per day on these sites and a few others and you generate a lot of targeted traffic. If you're promoting CPA offers, then some other steps needed to be taken into account, but if you're promoting biz opp's or money making products, etc. you'll do great. |

Here's another tip from Seth Godin
1. Use lists. 2. Be topical... write posts that need to be read right now. 3. Learn enough to become the expert in your field. 4. Break news. 5. Be timeless... write posts that will be readable in a year. 6. Be among the first with a great blog on your topic, then encourage others to blog on the same topic. 7. Share your expertise generously so people recognize it and depend on you. 8. Announce news. 9. Write short, pithy posts. 10. Encourage your readers to help you manipulate the technorati top blog list. 11. Don't write about your cat, your boyfriend or your kids. 12. Write long, definitive posts. 13. Write about your kids. 14. Be snarky. Write nearly libelous things about fellow bloggers, daring them to respond (with links back to you) on their blog. 15. Be sycophantic. Share linklove and expect some back. 16. Include polls, meters and other eye candy. 17. Tag your posts. Use del.ico.us. 18. Coin a term or two. 19. Do email interviews with the well-known. 20. Answer your email. 21. Use photos. Salacious ones are best. 22. Be anonymous. 23. Encourage your readers to digg your posts. (and to use furl and reddit). Do it with every post. 24. Post your photos on flickr. 25. Encourage your readers to subscribe by RSS. 26. Start at the beginning and take your readers through a months-long education. 27. Include comments so your blog becomes a virtual water cooler that feeds itself. 28. Assume that every day is the beginning, because you always have new readers. 29. Highlight your best posts on your Squidoo lens. 30. Point to useful but little-known resources. 31. Write about stuff that appeals to the majority of current blog readers--like gadgets and web 2.0. 32. Write about Google. 33. Have relevant ads that are even better than your content. 34. Don't include comments, people will cross post their responses. 35. Write posts that each include dozens of trackbacks to dozens of blog posts so that people will notice you. 36. Run no ads. 37. Keep tweaking your template to make it include every conceivable bell or whistle. 38. Write about blogging. 39. Digest the good ideas of other people, all day, every day. 40. Invent a whole new kind of art or interaction. 41. Post on weekdays, because there are more readers. 42. Write about a never-ending parade of different topics so you don't bore your readers. 43. Post on weekends, because there are fewer new posts. 44. Don't interrupt your writing with a lot of links. 45. Dress your blog (fonts and design) as well as you would dress yourself for a meeting with a stranger. 46. Edit yourself. Ruthlessly. 47. Don't promote yourself and your business or your books or your projects at the expense of the reader's attention. 48. Be patient. 49. Give credit to those that inspired, it makes your writing more useful. 50. Ping technorati. Or have someone smarter than me tell you how to do it automatically. 51. Write about only one thing, in ever-deepening detail, so you become definitive. 52. Write in English. 53. Better, write in Chinese. 54. Write about obscure stuff that appeals to an obsessed minority. 55. Don't be boring. 56. Write stuff that people want to read and share. |

Okay, if I had no list, no site, and no money, just a credit
card that wasn't maxed out...and I had to start all over from scratch today and could NOT get into the make money online niche, here is EXACTLY what I would do today. Get your pens and pads out cause this is gonna be a long one. Step 1 - I would spend 1 week just surfing the Internet looking to see what was around. I'd follow news stories, gossip, or whatever, just to get a feel for the current climate. This way I may be alerted to niches that are either potentially lucrative or ones that I need to keep away from at all costs, such as if changes in laws or current economic or political conditions make those niches tough to crack. Step 2 - I would then write down anything that I either currently have a knack for or an interest it, along with anything that I find while surfing in week 1 that I might decide I want to tackle. I'll go over this list everyday for a week, during which time I will do the following steps. Step 3 - I'll go to forums and discussion groups for each niche to see what people are talking about. I'll try to get a feel for any problems that each niche is faced with and try to think of any way that I can personally offer a solution for that problem. Step 4 - I will look to see if any of the solutions that I have come up with are currently available. I will check Clickbank, PayDotCom, Amazon, Commission Junction and other marketplaces to see what is out there. I will also check to see what PPC ads are being run for these niches. Step 5 - Finally, I will do my keyword research and competing sites research to see how much opportunity is out there by comparing weekly and monthly search stats to number of competing sites. I will go over these figures for at least a week before I even decide which niche I am going to tackle. ** NOTE ** I will also pick a backup niche. I will explain the reason for this later. I said I had no money, no site, no list, but I didn't say I had no knowledge. I go into this with everything I have learned up to this point, otherwise I wouldn't be able to make this plan in the first place. Make sense? Step 6 - I will make my decision and also pick my backup niche. Now is where I begin to put my plan of attack into operation starting with mapping out everything I am going to do so that I don't leave anything out. Yes, you MUST write all of it down. You are running a business and making a comprehensive business plan. So the first step from here is... Step 7 - Decide on how much you want to earn in what period of time and how much you plan to spend in order to make that amount of money. Also, I would set a time frame for how long I will wait until I am making the amount of money I plan to make. If it doesn't happen in that time frame, I scrap the whole project. Again, I know what I am doing so if it turns out this niche isn't profitable (yes, you CAN pick a dud) then I am going to cut my losses and move on to my alternate plan. Step 8 - I decide on a domain name and a hosting company that I am going to use. Naturally, all of this has been thoroughly researched as well to get the best name available and to get hosting that will fit my needs and my budget. Step 9 - I will sign up with Aweber. I have learned that a good autoresponder service is gold. Anybody who doesn't see this is daft. Trust me, at one time, I was daft. Step 10 - I will begin to create my content. I will start with the actual product itself. Since my skills are writing, I will make it an ebook. I feel I can do best with an ebook. You have to do what you feel you're best at. Step 11 - I will then work on my autoresponder series. This also must be completely thought out. I need to know what I am going to say in each installment of the series. Nothing is left to chance. Step 12 - I write up a free report to give away in order to get opt ins. Step 13 - I either create my squeeze page or outsource it. Since I have no money, unless the designer takes a CC, I will have to do this myself. Not a problem. I have done my own so far with decent success. Step 14 - I will either create the sales page for my product or outsource it. Again, same criteria as above. When I set up my web form in Aweber, I will have the opt in sent to my sales page from the squeeze page. Step 15 - I will submit my sales page to Clickbank and wait for approval. Step 16 - After the sales page is approved, THEN I will start working on actual promotion. No point in doing it until then because there's nothing to promote. Step 17 - I will also assume that since I have no money or anything else, that I also don't have a reputation behind me, so there is little chance of me getting big names to promote my product. Besides, I'm not in the IM niche anyway so I'd be looking elsewhere for JVs anyway. So step 17 will begin with my actual promotion of my squeeze page, NOT my sales page. Why? Because I am looking to earn my prospects' trust first. So I want to give them as much content as I can before I start to try to sell to them. Step 18 - I will begin to write articles...as many as I can for my niche and submit them to Ezine Articles ONLY. I don't want to waste a lot of time and I have found from my own experience that EZA gives me the best results. Step 19 - Because this is a non IM niche, safelists and FFA Hosting and all that stuff that is great for the IM niche, is going to be worthless to me now. So my next step is to hunt out as many forums as I can for this niche to frequent. Remember, as part of my research, I already found these. If I hadn't I would NOT have targeted this niche. That is why research is so important. I will frequent these forums and add to the discussion just as I have here, thus earning the trust of at least a few members. I will give them as much info as I can about the niche without giving everything away so that they don't have to buy the product. Here is where it helps if your product is less about information and more about something that actually does something, like a piece of software. That way, you can give out as much info as you like. They still need the software to solve their problem. Step 20 - I'd pick up Camtasia, or if I couldn't afford it, Camstudio. Again, I have a credit card. Step 21 - I'd make videos related to my niche and submit them to YouTube. I'd try to do a video a week. More if I can. Make sure you have a long section at the end of the video (about 10 seconds at least) showing the URL of your site. Step 22 - I will go to as many sites like Digg and Stumbleupon as I can. I want to get the word out about my free report to as many people as possible. Step 23 - I will begin to search the Internet for authority sites in my niche that aren't in direct competition with me. I will look for a contact us link and write to them. I will explain my product, explain that it has a XX% commission and ask them if they'd be interested in promoting it. Of course I will target the sites at the top of the SEs first and work my way down. Step 24 - I will seek out ezines in my niche. I will write to the owners and ask them if in exchange for a series of articles that I write for them, if I could run a solo ad. I'd even offer to let them run it with their affiliate link for my product. Go out of your way to make it as appealing to them as possible. Step 25 - I will set up a blog on my domain for this niche and start to post some articles there. I want to build my blog up as an authority site of sorts. I will not monetize this with Adsense because that isn't my model. I'm not giving away my traffic for pennies when I have a product to sell. Step 26 - I will set a daily routine for article writing and whatever other advertising I am going to do. I want to get into a routine and also get an idea of what my conversion is. Step 27 - If I see that the conversion is good using the free methods that I am using, then I will start to tackle Adwords. Now think about this. My site is ALREADY indexed by Google. So getting good cpc should not be too hard. Why tackle Adwords at the start when your site has no clout on the SEs yet? To me, it doesn't make sense. Srep 28 - I will monitor things for 6 months and see how profitable they are. If they're very profitable, I will then sink more money into Adwords and other paid forms of advertising and I will then think about if I can come up with an upsell product. As opposed to IM, this will take me some thought, but nonetheless, I will work on it. If the niche is only somewhat profitable, and again, this is all based on my business plan at the start of this all, then I will not chuck it, but begin to work on my backup plan slowly. If the niche is a complete failure, I will scrap it and go through the same steps above for my backup niche. Now, if my niche site was VERY profitable...I would THEN come to the IM niche with solid proof of my success in other niches, thus asserting myself as an authority on Internet marketing and thus having a very easy time gaining the trust of others and thus having a very easy time making a nice living in the IM niche...if I choose to. That's it. That's what I would do if I were starting over from scratch. Now, I can absolutely say that the above works because I do make money in other niches besides IM. I don't spend as much time on them so they're not as profitable as I could make them, but my ROI is off the charts considering what I spend. Yesterday I started work on my next ebook. It was about 53 pages when completed. Yes, I finished it in one business day. Then I got to thinking... There are people who come here and report that they're working on their ebook for several months and can't get it done. Honestly, this boggles my mind. Anyway, I'm going to share a few tips, while they may seem basic to those of you who don't have this problem, for those who can't seem to get anything done, this might help speed up the process. Step 1 - Do all your research for the book FIRST. Don't start writing ONE thing until you know EVERYTHING that is going to go in the book. Step 2 - Take all the notes from your research and put them in one place, such as a word doc or whatever. Try to arrange them in a logical sequence, close to what you'd have the book be in. Step 3 - Write down an outline in chapter form of everything that is going to be in the book BEFORE you start writing. This should include everything from the introduction to the closing. Step 4 - Following your outline, write the book ONE CHAPTER AT A TIME. Pretend that the chapter you are working on is the WHOLE book. That way you won't feel so overwhelmed by the thought of having to complete a 50 to 100 page book. As each chapter is completed, scratch it off your outline. So if you have an outline of 10 chapters, even if you only do ONE CHAPTER A DAY, you'll have that book finished in 10 days and not 10 months. Step 5 - Proofread each chapter as you write it. That way the proofreading part won't seem so overwhelming. Who wants to sit down and read a 50 page book in one sitting? Step 6 - When the book is finished, make your PDF. That's it...done. A 100 page book of 25 chapters shouldn't take you more than a month to finish just doing a chapter a day. If you break it down like this and don't let the enormity of the project as a whole get to you, you'll find that you're able to crank out material at breakneck speed. Okay, now that I have given you the outline, let's go through a fictional example. Don't worry, I'm not going to write a whole book here, just the shell. Let's say our book is going to be on "How To Cure Acne In 3 Days...Naturally." Okay, we're already done our research on what acne is, what causes it and we know our cure because we discovered it. Time to write our book. Here is the very simple outline. Introduction Chapter 1 - What Is Acne? Chapter 2 - What Causes Acne? Chapter 3 - What Are The Traditional Acne Treatments? Chapter 4 - How Can You Cure Acne Naturally? (overview) Chapter 5 - The Steps For Curing Your Acne Naturally Chapter 6 - Maintenance For Keeping Acne Away Permanently Conclusion That's it. That's our ebook. It's probably going to be about 35 to 50 pages. So the first thing you do is write your intro. "The purpose of this book is to give you a natural way to fight your acne and cure it forever...etc." This shouldn't be more than a page. Next, you write Chapter 1 - What Is Acne? "Acne is a condition that...etc." You don't go into what causes it here or any treatments or anything like that. Just tell WHAT it is. Next you write Chapter 2 - What Causes Acne? "Acne is caused by...etc." This will probably take you about 3 pages to go into all the causes of acne, including diet, dirt, etc. Again, you only talk about the causes...nothing else. Next you write Chapter 3 - What Are Traditional Treatments. "Acne is commonly treated by using...etc." There are tons of treatments for acne. You could write a book on these alone. Keep it to about 5 pages. Talk about nothing else other than how acne is traditionally treated. Next you write Chapter 4 - How Can You Cure Acne Naturally? "Acne can easily be cured naturally by...etc." Just tell them HOW it can be cured but don't go into the actual procedure yet. This is kind of like a teaser. You can do this in a page or 2. Next you write Chapter 5 - The Steps For Curing Acne Naturally "Step 1 - ..." That's how you do this section...step by step. You want to make it as simple as possible to understand. You do not discuss anything else here other than the actual steps. This is probably going to be about 3 pages. Next you write Chapter 6 - Maintenance For Keeping Acne Away "In order to keep your acne from coming back...etc." You may then want to write what follows in step by step form as you did in chapter 5. This will probably be a page or 2. Next you write the conclusion. "If you follow the steps in this book...etc." You might want to recap some of what you discussed. Maybe start out with something like... "Acne is a problem that affects millions of people. Traditional medicine only...etc." You get the idea. Write your ebooks using this outline and you should never have trouble completing any book in less than a month. Hope this helps. |

For every article you write, convert it to a youtube clip and make sure (just like the articles) you have a good keyword strong title.
If you can make an article clip every day and get 100 viewers which averages 2 clicks to your URL in the video info box, in a few months you'll have an average of 200 uniques a day ![]() Great thread, I won't count the posts to see if I've won, I'll just await the exciting PM notification ![]() Louis |

Another traffic tip.
Its good to concentrate on main search engines like Google, which you should always do anyway but don't forget smaller search engines. One of my websites receives around 300 unique visitors a month just from these smaller and often overlooked search engines. So its always worth putting the time in to get your site indexed on smaller search engines simply by submitting your site. If you've already optimized your site to tackle Googles search ranking, you shouldn't have any problems getting on the front page on small search engines for your targeted keywords. Granted 300 uniques a month isn't much but every little helps. paul |

I don't know exactly what this is called but I sent 2500 emails via ListJoe.com to a sales page and got over 100 visitors but only 5 sales. To me that was better than nothing. I use ListJoe quite a lot with great success.

This really isn't FREE traffic because it costs about $20 to do it...
I laid down a 20 for one of those graphic kiosks in the mall that make stickers. Have you seen those? Have them make a sticker with your domain name, and attach it to the back of your vehicle's back window. You want to measure the width of your window first, and have them vertically stretch the letters so it can be seen far away. Think also, about other OFFLINE places you can display any domain name you have: • On T-shirts • Business cards • Paper money! • Have some notepads made with the name of your business on them, and leave your barista or waiter/waitress a thank you note) I'm sure you can think of lots of other offline places to display your url or business name for free traffic. Steven, That's one of the best posts I've seen about writing (I bet it took him about 2 seconds to write all that), but what does it have to do with free traffic? I guess people are winning no matter what the topic is now, or did I miss something? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great, and this thread has lots of useful information. But I feel kind of stupid sitting here for 20 minutes trying to think of ways to create free traffic that know one has mentioned yet, when maybe I should have been doing something else. Grant

Yes, Grant, you have to pay for ezine ads. Did Nick say something about free traffic, or just getting traffic. I believe he said getting traffic (either paid or free), or maybe I missed something.

Heres my tip: Create a short ebook on any topic you are comfortable with. Place links to your website in the ebook, then list the ebook in free ebook directories or libraries online. Make sure you provide solid content, and make people wanna pass your ebook around. A true viral effect.

Wow! That was an incredible post Steven. You really over delivered.
Here's a traffic technique I don't think has been mentioned yet: Swap ads with other list owners. Chris Freville has an excellent video on how to set this all up at: Created with Camtasia Studio 5 This technique can bring you hundreds of subscribers in a day - which equates to quality long-term traffic. |

Grant, it has nothing to do with traffic. I posted it because I wanted to contribute something that's actually useful with all the garbage posts that I've seen here by people just to make a buck. I have no idea why I was picked as a winner since I was post number 131 anyway and didn't post it to win anything. I don't need the 50 bucks. I just wanted to add something that will actually help people. Who Nick gives his money to is his business, but I do believe his picking my post was in error as I am sure he will see when he double checks.
