I do and it does work but you have to make sure that you change the PLR product.

Ther are probably a lot of people with that product so make sure you do some work to make yours unique.

And that includes changing the sales page ... Graphics and text

I've heard many success stories, just haven't had the time to do it...

I think:

1. You need to change the sales letter and ecover.
2. Get more testimonials for the product.
3. Get traffic with PPC or BUM marketing.

Traffic + High Conversion Product = sales

I've been doing PLR marketing for about 6 months now and have only just started to make reasonable money, mainly due to all the mistakes that I made, but I hope I can be of some help to you.

I found the best way to get started was to use a niche that I new somethig about. In my case this was swimming coaching and fitness. I tried free PLR but in many cases when I read through it it was badly written (not that I'm a copy expert yet, but I do know how to use correct grammar) and the info contained was obviously thrown together by a person who didn't actually know much about it.

So i found that paying for it gave me a better quality starting block and then I was able to add to it from my own knowledge and end up with a good quality product.

I also joined a good quality subscription PLR products list which saved me searching for it.
Changing the sales page and content etc is imperative. If your list is receiving the 'same old same old'that they receive from every other would be 'Guru', they won't take you seriously and will unsubscribe

Good Luck

As to your first post, I have bought my PLR books and turned them into money makers. It is important to find a PLR package that has a minisite that includes a sales letter, affiliate, and thank you page. Also, the graphics need to look nice as that is partially what people will use to judge your product.

The general consensus is that you should brand the product so you should make some changes to the ebook and possibly redo the graphics. Redoing the graphics can rebrand the product and you can give it your own spin and quality. Also, many PLR books have good content but the formatting, spelling, and sentence structure is really bad. So whenever I get a PLR package I am going to spin, I always revamp the ebook and graphics. Once you get good at it, you can update the ebook in a few hours and have a solid product. The thing you dont want to do is release a poorly written ebook and have to deal with a refund and losing out on future business from the customer.

As for your second post, on your thankyou.html page you will have a hyperlink that contains the physical location of your ebook. So when the customer clicks on it, it will either open the ebook in say adobe acrobat or will give them the pop up that allows them to open or save the ebook.

So creating a hyperlink in any html editor is easy and you can always use the help screen in the program to figure it out if needed.

The trick for you is that you need to know the actual location of where you ebook is on your web host directory. For example, if you put the ebook under the directory "ebook," then your hyperlink would be domainname.com/ebook/ebook.pdf. If you put the book in the main root directory, the it would be domainname.com/ebook.pdf. You get the idea.

Also, you can give this url directly to your customer and they can paste it in their web browser and bring up your ebook like you were asking.

I would also highly recommend to not leave your thankyou page called "thankyou." Many people make this mistake and the general public can just type domainname.com/thankyou.html or a combination of this and get to many people's ebooks for free. Make sure you rename your thankyou page to download432s or some different name with a numerical combination. This will help keep your download page more secure and harder for non-paying customers to get to.

Hope this helps. If you need anymore help, let us know. Now go make some money.

I'm just learning about PLR, too and I appreciate the tips. I might add that in modifying your PLR to be sure that you don't use the word "don't" without an apostrophe or type the word "I" in lower case because anyone over 30 may think your work was written by a barely literate retard.

As others have said. Make sure you change the product's name, graphics and content. Then promote like heck everywhere you can.

Hey, thanks..this was VERY helpful. One more question..when I take a MRR book to market and upload it to my FTP then try to edit the INDEX file to change author, contact info. etc. I am DENIED ACCESS...doesn't happen on most but does on a few...does it mean I really DON'T have MRR rights?

Before you send your buyer to the download page be sure to capture their name and email address again, this way you will also have a BUYER list as well as your regular list.

How to protect your product:

You can always use a series of random letters and numbers and symbols for the folder on your webhost where you will have your thankyou page and download page. While it's not "secure" it is also virtually impossible to guess. I would avoid naming your pages "/thank you.html or /download.html".

Good luck with your PLR empire

I have sold a couple of PLR products and did pretty well. On one I didn't change the graphics at all and still managed to sell about 100 copies. I just went in and made a few changes to the content to add my own personal experience and ideas and that was it. I started promoting it via article marketing and I got the first sale on like the 3rd day.

Even though I didn't change the graphics I do think it is a good idea to do so. I think it gives you an advantage over others promoting that same product.

Yes you can spin PLR ebooks and try to promote them through article marketing but make sure that the product you selected is unique and less competative so as to make more sales.

Usually, how do you promote these PLR products? My story is that I did put one plr ebook on one of my sites and luckely I got one sale in the first few days. After that, I saw many people clicking the e-junkie add to cart in my analitycs, yet no sale. Is the sale page not good enough or the traffic not good enough? I usually do article marketing.
