Ever think your domain name is great but others do not?

Have you ever gotten a juicy domain name, thought it was really great, put it up for sale, and nothing? Or, thought it was going to be a big ticket domain, tried to list it on a premium site, and gotten rejected?

No, but I have gone back way after the fact and realized that I've misspelled the domain name when I registered them.

    That's no fun, either

Ha Ha.. I've done that! I thought I had found a really great name and one that was in a high profit niche. I was so surprised it was available. I quickly registered it only to discover later that it was spelled incorrectly.

Might be OK anyway. "how to loose weight" gets 135,000 searches a month =)

I had ComputerWebmaster.com which I thought was awesome!

Unfortunely, no one else did... and I ended up selling it for like $20.

I was working on a prayer site for someone, and he thought peoples prayers dot com would be good. Put together, however, people read it as "people sprayers" - not the image he was shooting for!

Happens all the time, even to very experienced domainers! It's not uncommon to register 10 really 'juicy' domains and end up selling only one of them before they're up for renewal in a year. But that one sale can make up for 100 losses.

    Hello,
I own this prize domain ebks.com which is short for ebooks,
I have received some very nice offers over the years and have
    turned them all down.
I am waiting for the really big offer before I sell.

I think you're better off marketing it as "Everything But the Kitchen Sink"

I thought I'd be clever and build an Amazon afffiliate site with a xmas theme, and so launched artifialixmastrees.com
I just can't think why I added an extra I inbetween artificial and xmas but I went ahead with it anyway.
It gets about 8 visits a day, whoopeee!
