Hi warriors, I need your help and sincerely do hope someone will help and also do hope people will not take this as just another Nigeria scam. The problem I had to move had of Nigeria July this year because of the following reasons : 1. The power problem in Nigeria was killing my business and could not cope with the amount needed for fuel every month. 2. The name NIGERIA does not sound good online These 2 reasons may me leave Nigeria to another country ( Benin Republic where my father and myself grew up - French country ) Before I left Nigeria I had sold a catch the cheating spouse blog to someone who I later found out to be a warrior here ( name withheld for privacy reasons) and was using the money to maintain my online business since I can only use paypal adopting another country ( I can not withdraw but can use the cash online) which I have been doing for over 1 year without any problem but the unfortunate thing happened... my paypal account was limited mainly because I accessed it with another country's ip and till date I have not been able to get paypal to remove the limitation. To make matter worst, I have a friend of mine who uses paypal from Nigeria but adopt India as his country and have never had any problem ( though he uses proxy from India) but that would not work in my own case. Not that I did not try, I actually used the method to open a paypal account with the hope of selling one or two sites to fund the account and have the money for some outsourcing but yesterday, I need to pay $9.95 for my hosting with hostgator, got 2 people to loan me $5 each cos there was no way I will fund the account but to my surprise immediately these two people sent th money, I got a limited account notification from paypal. This sounds fishy but if you do not believe me check my email url : Bum Marketing Kid username : admin@bmkid.com password : gun26ners you can't change the password even if you try. Though paying for the hosting is no longer a problem as I have a warrior friend who is willing to help me pay before the grace period elapses. The problem is : I need to sell a website of mine that has been making between $480 and $500 per month for the last 3 months but there is no way I can do that without using paypal. I have tried to use escrow.com but decides against it because : 1. My clickbank checks that are being sent to my friend in the UK and from him to Nigeria take between 5-8 weeks to arrive. 2. Once the checks arrive, it will take another 21 days to clear the bank. This two problems means using escow is not favored at the moment because I need the money to urgently to help my parents and to get an internet connection of my own as I have been working from a cyber cafe for the past 3 months which is not good for my leg ( had some problems with my leg arising from injection prescribed on me about 6 years back when I lost my younger brother ) which is why I need warriors. What I need is someone who can help me sell the site ( you will have all the password and everything you need to prove my ownership of the site and my willingness to do business ) and help me forward the money to Benin Republic or Nigeria ( the dollar rate will determine where to send it to ) after deducting whatever commission they want. I have been scammed by a warrior here before but I am willing to deal with a reputable warrior ( I will know from your previous posts). I know doing this type of thing for a Nigerian looks and sounds risky but I can promise you will have no problem and I am willing to sign any document if it can be signed, scanned and forwarded by email. Another option is if you are interested in buying the site and willing to do business via moneygram ( preferred cos it is cheap) or westernunion. The niche is reverse phone lookup niche and it has over 200 articles published at EZA and you will have the password and user to the EZA account you can even change the password if you want as I specifically created the accout with the hope of selling it. Thanks in advance. I hope the admins and moderators will not delete this thread. |

What if you had simply left out the fact that you are in Nigeria, and had asked for some help? You mention Nigeria, and scam so much it's the first thing people think. Not everyone here believes everyone from Nigeria is a scam artist. Stop offering your passwords as well. I understand that you seem a bit desperate, but you should be careful handing out your passwords, because as mentioned Paypal limited your account because you had accessed it elsewhere, and this many happen with other accounts, if you are letting people access it from USA, Uk etc... That should be a mistake which you have learned from by now? Why don't you make a WSO or simply sell your website here on the warrior forum, and tell what it offers, etc... People can then decide if they want it or not. You can do it here: Complete Web Sites For Sale! <======== I would also suggest that you look at how other people are marketing their websites as they are trying to get people to buy, and make your ad similar, rather than listing all of the cons against you (such as nigeria), simply show people what they will be getting, and you should be good to go! FYI: It's against EZA rules for anyone to have multiple accounts. As many people already have accounts with EZA, your offer may not be of any use to them, and could result in alot of issues. I would suggest that you keep those articles for yourself, if they have good SEO already, do some backlinking and related things so that way you can get each ranked on google for a keyword. This can bring you "risidual" income, which leaves little to no work, and if you need a website, simply make a landing page with the reverse phone lookup search bar and apply it to this website name. Also: have you tried working with clickbank? They do have to send out cheques, and I am not sure if they allow you to sign up directly from "nigeria", but as you mentioned you are no longer in nigeria? The reason I ask, is because after the first 3 cheques are sent out, you can use direct deposit, which means they deposit it directly to your bank account. This can get rid of alot of the hassles you face. You could try using CB for affiliate promotion, or if you are considering making a product, it would work this way as well. |

Thanks for the message, I only gave out the password to prove my sincerity besides I don't use that email for anything, I only use it for paypal which has now been locked. I am considering doing a wso but I am not sure warriors will send western union to Nigeria plus people don't seem to buy sites at a good price here. I have seen this type of site sell for over $4000 on flippa but that is not the case here which is a big problem. As for the EZA I was not aware of such a rule and I know warriors who have more than 1 account here. as for promoting the articles a little more, I can not do that once the site is sold, it becomes the buyer's properties although the articles are well ranked in google and bring in good traffic. I am currently marketing products with clickbank but it takes about 21 days for the checks to clear here, 2-3 to get to the UK, 5-8 weeks from UK to Nigeria which is not ideal for this situation. USA warrior who is willing to help : please note that this can be done via escrow.com as I am sure escrow can send checks to you if we use their service. |

He's a good guy. Been here longer than I have, posted just about as much, and deserves your respect no less than I do. I've always been impressed with his integrity and honesty. Quote:

Now, Yommys, here's my problem with helping out directly: if your customer asked for a refund, it would end up being reclaimed from me, not you. My business runs on a lean margin most of the time, and even more so toward the end of the month... so while I'm sure you'd make it right in the end, I just can't afford to take that risk.

I am fully aware of the possibility of a charge back but a solution exists for that, we can always hold on to the domain name and the eza account pending when the 45 days elapses and then release it to the buyer after that ( site buyers know this and it is acceptable ). secondly, we can use escrow.com. Reason why I can not use escrow.com even though they accept Benin Republic is that it takes about 365 years ( if I will still be alive ) for the check to arrive and another 366 years for the check to clear the bank and they don't do direc desposit or wire transfer to Africa. Can't you get your Africa friends in Europe to help you? No, I rather lose money to a white or non Africa of any color ( not a racist ) than to a fellow Nigerian as I just got scammed by a friend African who I thought is trust worthy.

No one asks to be born where they are, and your simple geographical location should not make a damn difference, but it really seems to at the moment?! I disagree, I say "GUK" the social norms for society in terms of how much you can or CANNOT make based on your culture, skin color, nationality, or age even! I would LOVE to see you break through all of these barriers then, and make $4000 for this website, and anything else to come. Quote:

It may not be, but if you made tons of money doing what you do, each and every week, it would no longer matter, would it?

Ok, I am not sure of other methods then to which you can get a bank account in another country etc.. But you are NOT in Nigeria, you cannot set up a bank account outside of your country with a financial institution in your country right now? So I get your issue now....it's a tricky one. The best thing for you, would be to resolve this issue, by getting A hold of a debit card somehow, obviously. Dumb question: You cannot register a debit card from The Benin Republic? |

Yommy - I trust you 110%. I've never sold a site. It would probably be better, I guess, if a Warrior with experience and feedback for selling sites helped you. Although I could probably list your site for sale here in the forum where people know you. If that would help, let me know. There is a WU office close to me. |

I find this offensive, and I am not him... Please refrain from trying to insult other members by using vague references to social stereotypes. That was very rude, and uncalled for, especially given the above. Have a heart.

Your friend is in a bind. If I run in front of a car, and then GET HIT, should I blame the driver, or myself? Yes the driver was driving the car towards, me and didn't stop, but why on earth, did I run in front of the car? This is what such cases remind me of, people who get scammed. We all have a gut instinct and feeling which tells us when something really doesn't feel right, and unfortunately your friend didn't listen hard enough. Have you tried to get this appealed with your government, or have they ignored it? Are you in the United States? Isn't it funny how your country allows such things inside (scammers to send emails, calls, get inside from all over), but when someone is affected, there is really no help?

Let's hope! I live in Canada, as well, so i've not had to face alot of these kinds of things, so I am quite privileged then. The only problem I have, (which I wine about) is how it takes 8 days for paypal to withdraw money back into my bank account, because I am in canada. But from what I can see, I really have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to complain about, by seeing his story and challenge. I thought that my wait time was bad, cheez. But I also dislike that it's any different where I am, than where he is. I still stand by these two few principles: From space, there are no borders, and there is only one race: the human race. So why does the business world still ignore the truth?! I wish to see a day when any person from anywhere can be an entrepreneur without their location or nationality being an issue.

Yommy - Have you considered trying to sell the site where you are? If you could find a local or regional buyer, the transaction would be much easier for you. Is that a possibility?

| Sell a website in Nigeria? To who? Do you know anyone in Nigeria who will buy it? I am sure that not up to 5% of the total population ( over 140 million ) know what internet marketing is and those that know are only in affiliate marketing.
